If you want to see how you are doing then during gameplay click both analog sticks (L3 + R3) at the same time and the game stats will display.
Complete the game on Story mode to unlock the second difficulty setting and the treasure viewer.
This higher difficulty setting becomes an available option when you begin a new game after completing it once.
