Game Reviews for WWE Smackdown Shut Your Mouth

Ah, wrestling.

Despite being completely fake, it still contains some of the best bodies in the world.

The award for best wrestler goes to Torrie Wilson, who "ACCIDENTLY" drops the trophy and bends down very slowly to pick it up.

But enough of that, there's a game to review. A pretty good game, in fact. The graphics seemed unbeatable until the Stone Cold Stunner "Here comes the pain" rips SYM off its podium spot. But the graphics still are good, with amazing facial expressions.

The commentry is decent, but there's no wrestler voices, which really is a let-down. The season mode contains many fun moments, but the walk-around mode loses its appeal after a very short time. There is, though, a huge amount of extra content to unlock-including new moves, arenas, attires and loads of other stuff.

The extra stuff keeps you hooked on the Season mode. The game's main flaws are its slightly too easy controls. An experienced player should win almost every season match.

But with so many game modes that you'll lose track of when one match begins and ends, great-looking wrestlers, and a cheap price of 32 euro, this is a bargain.

WWE Smackdown:Shut your mouth is an amazing wrestling game.

It contains a great selection of wrestlers such as Brock Lesnar , The Rock , Austin , HHH , HBK , RVD and other.New matches are included like 6 man hell in a cell.

The graphics are astonishing but the controlling of your wrestler is the same as the previous Smackdown games.

The create mode of the game is great as you edit every single detail on your wrestler.

The season mode begins with a draft and other... Finally it's a fantastic game which can be enjoyed by wrestling-lovers and not only.

This has to be one of the best wrestling games in the history of the PS2. I mean they have finally put Stacy Keibler and HULK HOGAN in the same game. Brilliant. Cant wait till smackdown 5 comes out in november/december. Cant wait for bra and panties matches...

I surley hope smackdown here comes the pain is better than this.

The makers of this game did poorley.1st of all in the entrances u dont even see your opponent in the ring isnt that fake or what?

They need to improve the game graphics and gameplay. they need to add more matches like,inferno matches,casket,buried alive,elimiation chamber,and stuff like that.

I hope that in story mode they have the superstars speak not just words on the bottom of the screen.And also u cant even see the anouncers!

How dumb is that? and the commentary is very dumb and boring.and they should let u edit superstar's appearences like in WWF no mercy.

THE thing that really upsetted me is that u cant even do the superstar's turnbuckle taunts! i truley have to give this game a 4/10 for bad gameplay and poor graphic......!

This is the greatest Smackdown game yet, the graphics and character details are much better.This game's artificial intelligence is the best ever in seen in a wrestling game. Although the wrestlers don't bleed yet,this game is still very entertaining.One thing about this classic game series that has gotten bad is that unlike Just Bring It,only 6 wrestlers can be in a match at the same time.This game is still is hot though.

This has to have been the best wrestling game yet, much improved from the previous "Smackdown" game for PS2, Just Bring It.




The graphics, i think are about as good as they could be. They may not have the roundness and neatness of gmaes on other consoles like wrestlemania x8 for game cube, but htey look much like the wrestler they are supposed to be. They have even gone to the detail of putting things in like Chris Benoit's broken tooth or making the driver of the car in original ten entrance, wave his arm about like the wrestler, which didn't happen in Smackdown J.B.I.




There are loads of different choices in exhibition mode whether it be a simple single match or a six man tornado tag cage match, escape, pinfall or give up. THQ the makers of the game have also added matches like the slobber-knocker matches, lumberjack and special "King of the Ring" toyrnament, in where you play special matches instead of ordinary singles.




In Create-a-Wrestler mode the options are incredebly wide you could most probably make a wrestler that looks just like you( but you should use a photo it makes it alot easier). Now that the options are so great that if you create a wrestler in great detail then it will mostprobably take you at least 50 mins. Also you can edit the moves of your superstar with a wide range of moves from the present wrestlers or ones long gone. Pretty simple to use.




In season mode you choose a wrestler created or real( although if you are a begginer I advise that you start with a real wrestler as it is much easier) and you play for two seasons fighting and getting involed with real storylines of wwe. At pay-per-views, like summerslam, if you win a match you get to unlock either clothes, move sets, create parts, videos or arenas, and believe me you'll want to.




Another few good points are that when you are saving, in J.B.I., it used to say "ATTENTION" or "CAUTION" which was incredebly annoying, which it doesn't say in Smkdn SYM. New backstage areas like winter plaza and plaza B are really cool, in the winter plaza you can pick up snow balls and throw them at you opponent. In Plaza B you can get into a car or bike and drive around which is cool.




I think that Smackdown 4 is cool and would recommend it to everybody!

This is a great game! if your not a wwe fan then rent this game and you will become a wwe fan! this is a great game to play 24/7!

This game has to be the best wrestling game to hit any console. It absolutely murders wwe raw on the x box and humiliates wrestlemania 18 which is on the game cube. smackdown has everything from all the wrestlers to all the matches. The menus are great as well. the only thing that disapointed me was the graphics. they're fairly decent but could have been a better standard. The ps2 is capable of better. apart from that this game is flawless. it has a huge carrer mode with a draft at the start of it. it has a great create a wrestler which goes into great detail so your wrestler is perfect. and not only that they've got nealy every match. i personally think they could of added the dumpster match and the leather strap match but theres enough here to keep you busy.




All in all this gets a 9.5 out of ten




Buy this it's worth every penny.

WWE Smackdown Shut Your Mouth, the greatest wrestling game of all time as of yet, you get to take your chosen WWE Superstar through the draft taken in 2002 with your own selected brand, Smackdown or Raw and have two brutal years of action!, exhibition mode has millions of different matches to chose from like Hell In A Cell and Elimantion and alot more!, Many unlockables available including different attires for superstars, and special movies!,


Theres to much greatness to describe all of WWE Smackdown Shut Your Mouth! but here are the bad bits:


1)no blood!


2)not much story for divas!


3)missing some great talent!
