Introduction
============================
Hello and welcome to my second FAQ on Ajax, this time for Pro
Evolution Soccer 6. Last season was dramatic for Ajax, we only
managed to end 4th in the ranking and lost the head coach Danny Blind.
Champions League didn't go that well either, Ajax did survive the
group stage but that was because the teams in the stage sucked,
sorry to say that about the teams but they did. In the 1/8 final
Ajax was knocked out by Inter Milan, which is no shame. The first
leg in Amsterdam ended in a 2-2 draw, in Milan Ajax lost 0-1.
The season did have some good times though, Ajax won the play-offs
in their own league which ensured them to play for a place in the
Champions League and won the Dutch cup.
This guide will be similar to the PES 5 guide on Ajax, just updated
a lot. My strategy with the team has changed too ofcourse, but not
that much. Ajax has won 2 titles in 2006 which have been added to the
titles chapter. The Dutch cup and Johan Cruyff Schaal have fallen
prey to Ajax. Now on with the guide.

On march 18th 1900 Han and his brother Johan Dade started a club
named Ajax. Here starts the history tour of Ajax, one of the most

TEAM FORMATION
============================
Ajax usually plays a 4-3-3 system with the point towards goal, this
means an AMF (attacking midfielder) that plays just behind the CF
(Central Forward). A strategy that works for me is to put a player
with high balance stats in the point, because this player should be
free to pass at from almost any position and be able to connect with
the forwards. I know this is exactly what I've written in my PES 5
Ajax team guide, but that's because I believe this is the best
strategy to win, with Ajax.
I'll show you what my team looks like when playing with Ajax.

Stekelenburg is still my first keeper, even though in real life I think
I'd rather have Vermeer in the goal, in the game Stekelenburg is better.
One of the best transfers ofcourse is Jaap Stam, a worldclass defender,
in my eyes one of the best defenders ever. My defence is pretty clear,
these players are in my eyes the best in the team for these positions.
In the midfield I lost Galasek and Pienaar, but that has been well made
up with players like Gabri and Perez. Sneijder now takes the position of
Galasek because he has the best pass, and I need to reach my forwards.
In the off season period in the winter last year, Ajax bought a new CF
from Heerenveen. Huntelaar was the topscorer at the moment and he was to
help Ajax to improve the results, which he did, he closed the season with
33 goals in total, 17 for Heerenveen and 16 for Ajax.
Babel and Mitea both have good speed and technique, if you like to dribble
yourself then these 2 players are the best, maybe Rosales would be good
to use too. I find it easy to use Babel and Mitea to reach Huntelaar or
dribble toward the penalty area until help arrives in the form of
Sneijder. Huntelaar is the only player for that position, he has the best
stats, so the position is his.

This was it for the team guide for this year, I once again hope that I have
inspired you enough to choose Ajax as your team in 1 of your online games or
in matches against your friends. Even though Ajax isn't a very good team in
the game you can still enjoy the team if you learn how to play with them.
I intend to write a team guide on Ajax again in Pro Evolution Soccer 7 when
its released, but I'm not sure if I'll find the time for it. I'll do my best.
