2. Introduction:
------------------

Hey! This is an FAQ about my favourite character... Kunoichi!
This is my first FAQ that I have ever done so it's obviously not
going to be spot on the first time but thats alright.
I'm sure there are plenty of nice people out there who will tell me what
I have done wrong. I will give credit to them for helping me.
Well I think I have said enough ( technically typed but hey )
so I hope you enjoy this FAQ and I hope that it helps you.

3. Story:
-----------

Descending from above, the evil Serpent King Orochi shattered time
and space to test his strength against the most courageous warriors from
Ancient China and Feudal Japan. Great armies fell, yet many are still
fighting for survival - and now the greatest showdown in history is
about to take place... ( Taken from the back of the game case )

4. Controls:
--------------

The controls in this game are similar to the others, but here is a quick
list, to show you what buttons do what:

Main Menu or Battle Menu:
---------------------------

Left Analogue Stick or directional buttons = Move up and down
X = Confirm
Triangle = Back

Select a character screen:
----------------------------

Left Analogue Stick or directional buttons = Move in all directions
X = Confirm
Triangle = Back
Circle = Change character outfit

In battle:
------------

Square = Normal Attack
Triangle = Charge Attack
Circle = Musou Attack
X = Jump
L1 = Block
R1 = Special Ability
L2 - R2 = Switch between characters in your team
Select = Call for horse
Start = Open up battle menu
Left Analogue Stick = Move around
R3 ( Push Right Analogue Stick in ) = Change map type
Right Analogue Stick = Change the camera angle

5.a) Kunoichi: Who is Kunoichi?
---------------------------------

That is a good question. Kunoichi is a ninja. She is the protector of
Yukimura Sanada. She stayed with him through thick and thin in
Samurai Warriors. Now she returns in Warriors Orochi. Kunoichi
is a power type character.

5.b) Kunoichi: History
------------------------

Not much to put here. Kunoichi isn't real! But in Samurai Warriors she was
the protector of Yukimura Sanada... She wasn't in Samurai Warriors 2
as she was replaced by Nene. But Kunoichi is believed to have been
made up of the different parts of the ninja troop that protected
Yukimura Sanada.

5.c) Kunoichi: Overall story involvement
-------------------------------------------

Kunoichi's is trying to defeat Orochi. She works with the
Wu army. There is not much to put here as she
is unlocked through a gaiden and isn't in many stages.

5.d) Kunoichi: Changes
-------------------------

Kunoichi is pretty much the same as she was in Samurai Warriors.
They have made some slight changes though...

Her alternate outfit is just a different colour of her first outfit.
Her SSTTT Move is changed, instead of send out a shooting light or
whatever element you had equipped at the time, she just lets off an
explosion that hits the enemies with whatever elements you have equipped.
She has an R1 special now.
She can't double jump or roll anymore.

5.e) Kunoichi: Moveset
-------------------------

S = Square  T = Triangle

Standing Attacks:
-------------------

S = Running flip with knives in her hands ( Moving )

SSSSSSSS = A series of knife attacks with 4 round house kicks and
a twisting kick in a handstand.

TTT = Charges up and runs attacking with her knives as she goes followed
by a flip and attack.

STTT = She hits them once, then smacks them into the air, then she jumps
up after them with a series of flips with her knives in her hands, when she
reaches the top, she lets off an explosion and sets fire to her opponent as
she jumps back down.

SSTTT = She hits them twice, then kicks them, does a backflip, spins
around at an angle, then lets off a big explosion and does another
backflip.

SSSTTT = She hits them three times, then starts going forwards using her
knives at the same time and finishes the combo by throwing them, they
circle around in front of her.

Musou = She spins around repeatedly with her knives in her hands.

True Musou = Exactly the same apart from at the end she spins around
at an angle.

Jump Attack = Slashes with both knives.

Jump Charge = Falls with her knives and digs them into whatever is
there, then does a backflip at the end.

L1 = Block ( Not Moving )

L1 + Left Analogue Stick = Block ( Moving )

R1 = Kunoichi does a backwards dash and becomes invincible
for a short period of time. ( She goes transparent like the phantoms
that can hurt you, but you can't hurt them ) This also increases her
attack power.

Select = Call for a horse. ( Not inside a castle )

Mounted Attacks:
------------------

T = The horse rears up and attacks the enemy ( Not moving )

T = The horse jumps and lands, hurts the enemy ( Moving )

SSSSSSSS = Attacks to her right 8 times.

ST = Attacks to her right once, then throws the knife upwards from
a low position.

SST = Attacks to her right twice, then throws an explosive.

SSST = Attacks to her right 3 times, then throws both of her knives
and then catches them.

Musou = The horse charges forwards with a barrier in front of it,
it hits anybody in it's way.

L1 = Block ( Not Moving )

L1 + Left Analogue Stick = Block ( Moving )

5.f) Kunoichi: How to unlock her
-----------------------------------

Unlocking Kunoichi is pretty easy 
First of all do the Wu Story.
When you unlock Gaiden 4, do it.
This is the battle of Wan Castle just in case you have the wrong one.

Here is what you have to do...
--------------------------------

You will have a very small battle map. The only generals with you are
Ieyasu Tokugawa and Hanzo Hattori. All you have to do is make sure
that the peasants and people who appear, reach the escape point.
Kunoichi will join the battle halfway through. At the end of the battle
she will say she will join you, if you have done it right.

Here is the order of which the peasants come...

5.g) Kunoichi: Why use her?
-----------------------------

This is a good question! Why should you use Kunoichi?
Because I said so... Not really. 
Because she's one of the quickest characters in the game, her R1
special is great for when you're in Chaos mode, her moves look good
and deal alot of damage. Her attacks are also quite speedy and
she has quite a good range with her weapon attacks.
With the right attributes on her weapon she has the potential to
become one of the best characters in the game! 

Just give her a try!

5.h) Kunoichi: Who works best in a team with her?
---------------------------------------------------

Thats really a matter of opinion on who works best in a team with her...
but if you build up Ranmaru, then he's good with her...
Hideyoshi is great with his special move, she's already quick as it
is but with his special, you can imagine how quick she would be then.
Or you could just choose whoever works best for you... your favourite
character, or your strongest character, it's entirely up to you!

Oh on a side note... Hideyoshi is good with Kunoichi, but I have to
admit, his voice is very annoying so don't let that stop you from
using him, although it nearly stopped me from using him.

Here are some of the teams that I have used...

Here you go:
---------------

Team 1
--------

Kunoichi, Xing Cai and Ranmaru Mori

This team is great if you use Xing Cai's special ability a lot, her
specials are great if you can join the together, First press R1 and
the left Analogue stick for her to do a backflip and a kind of tornado
come out, then press R1 again quickly to hit the enemy with her shield,
after that, jump and do her charge, repeat until the enemy dies.
Ranmaru is a great crowd clearer. His SSSTTT is a great crowd clearer
if you have Agility 10. Read below to know how to use Kunoichi.

Team 2
--------

Kunoichi, Ginchiyo Tachibana and Zhao Yun

This team is very good also. Ginchiyo is great for her R1 special,
especially if you are on a harder difficulty. It completely clears the zone
you are in if she is powerful enough. It won't kill the enemy generals but
many of the peons. Zhao Yun is good for his quick charge attacks if you
have Agility 10 on him. His SSST is a great crowd clearer. Read below
to know how to use Kunoichi.

Team 3
--------

Kunoichi, Da Ji and Xing Cai

This team is a very good team. You know what Xing Cai is for.
( if not read the Team 1 section ) Da Ji is very good because of her
special ability too. She can counter attack and she can also deal
alot of damage with her T move. This is basically just her special
just not as long and not as powerful, but it's still good. Da Ji is
also very mobile, hard to use yes, but very mobile. When she attack
she can easily get out of danger. Read below to know how to use
Kunoichi.

5.i) Kunoichi: How to use her
-------------------------------

Kunoichi is a relatively easy character to use. Her moves are quite
easy to pull off. Her only problem is her TTT move. I think it is
very uneffective, hard to control and not very powerful. Her STTT is a
good move as it can kill a general. On one of the harder difficulty
settings. Her SSTTT is her best charge move as this a great crowd
clearer and hurts many of the generals. This is only effective if you
have the right attributes on your weapon. There is a section later
about this, skip to it if you want to know some good weapon
combinations for her.

Her SSSTTT is effective too. It is a good crowd clearer and can get her
out of some sticky situations. For instance, if you were on
Chaos mode and her health bar was red, as were all of your other
characters. Use this move to get her out of there.

Her SSSSSSSS combo is not very effective either, the handstand kick
at the end is to slow and this move is not very powerful at all.
This move is quite difficult for some people to pull off.
I personally have no problem with it but some others do.

Her R1 special is very effective. Use this if you need to kill someone
quick, if you are in trouble, or if you just want to use it for fun.

5.j) Kunoichi: Recommended Weapon Attributes
----------------------------------------------

First off I'm going to give you a list of the attributes, and what they do.

Here you go...
-----------------

Fire: Sets opponent on fire with some charge attacks, good for the
earlier difficulty settings.

Ice: Freezes opponents with some charge attacks.

Bolt: Very powerful, with some charge attacks but 100%
guaranteed to happen. Very powerful, good for all modes.

Slay: Very powerful, does good damage against generals and
can kill peons in one hit, with some charge attacks.

Brave: Increases your attack strength against generals.

Flash: Breaks through the enemie's guard.

Air: Increases your attack strength when enemies are airborne.

Range: Increases your attack range.

Multi: Produces Clones when doing charge attacks.

Drain: Absorbs enemy's life.

Might: Increases attack strength.

Absorb: Absorbs enemy's musou.

Agility: Increases attack speed, all charge attacks.

Rage: Increases Strength, Decreases Health.

Thats all of them. All of these go up to 10, the attack goes up 20 and
you can have 8 slots. 

Here's the weapons:

This weapon is great for killing things. A very quick weapon
with good strength and very powerful. 

Weapon 2:
------------

Bolt
Slay

This weapon is pretty much the same, just that added advantage against
generals. 

It honestly doesn't matter which weapon you choose, they are both good.

5.k) Kunoichi: How to unlock her Personal Item
-------------------------------------------------

Unlocking Kunoichi's Personal Item is very easy 
First of all do the Wu Story.
The battle is Anegawa, Gaiden 5
Oh you have to be Kunoichi for all of this.
Make sure you have Sun Ce in your party, otherwise you cannot
get Kunoichi's Personal Item. You don't have to be
him, just make sure he is in your team.
Bear in mind, you can get this item on any difficulty setting.

Here is what you have to do...
--------------------------------

First off go to the area where Gao Shun is. Zhang He will appear.
Kill Gao Shun, Zhang He and Niu Jin. The gates will open. Make
sure you have 100 kills before you go in. Ally with Da Qiao.
Now go to where her reinforcements are. Sun Shao is the nearest
to the item. It will show you on history if you don't know where it is.
Open the Yellow/Black Box and there will be an item bag inside.
Collect it and then go and kill Dong Zhuo. At the end of the battle
the item will be yours.

The name of her Personal Item is Golden Incense for those of
you who were wondering.

5.l) Kunoichi: How to get a good 4th weapon
----------------------------------------------

To get Kunoichi a good 4th weapon do this...

Get her to a level 80+
Get her Personal Item
Get her proficiency maxed
Get a good 3rd weapon
Now go to the Wu Story and go Gaiden 4, Wan Castle.
Yes this is the stage that you unlocked Kunoichi on. It doesn't
matter who you have in your team as you should only need Kunoichi
for this battle. Okay. Done? Do this level on Chaos mode! Yes
Chaos mode! There are 4 weapon boxes in this level. 3 in actual
boxes and 1 off of Pang De. This level really isn't hard. You don't even
have to make sure that the peasants survive.

Now that you have got the 4th weapon, it's time to start using it! Make
sure you have a lot of weapon fusion points. Because you are going to
need them.

Note:
-------

This stage is great for getting everybodies 4th weapons. Just use Kunoichi
and get even the weakest character's 4th weapons!

5.m) Kunoichi: Name of Weapons

5.n) Kunoichi: Abilities she unlocks
---------------------------------------

Okay, here I am going to put the skills Kunoichi unlocks, and how
she unlocks them.

Here is the list:
-------------------

1. Impulse - Increases speed.
Conditions - Defeat 3 officers.

2. Boost - Strengthens charge attack.
Conditions - Defeat 80 enemies, while maintaining 30%
life gauge status.

3. Recover - Refills life gauge during battle.
Conditions - Defeat 100 enemies, while maintaining 50%
life gauge status, without using any attack using the musou gauge.

Thats them all!

5.o) Kunoichi: Glitch with her R1 Special
-------------------------------------------

Okay, well this glitch isn't good it is bad. I don't know how many people
it has happened to but this is guarenteed to fix it. 

Here is what the glitch does:
-------------------------------

When you are in battle and you press R1, she'll do the backwards dash
but not become invincible and phantom like. This happened to me but
luckily I found the way to fix it.

Here is the way to fix it:
----------------------------

To fix the glitch, just get Kunoichi's Personal Item. That will make
the special last longer too.

I have an idea, I'll make some up!

Question: Is Kunoichi in this game?
Answer: Yes, if she wasn't I wouldn't be doing this FAQ about her
would I?

Question: Which weapon do you use in your Recommended
Weapon Attributes, 1 or 2?
Answer: 1.

Question: Which team do you use in your who works best in a
team with her, 1, 2 or 3?
Answer: All of them, but I use 1 and 3 alot.

Question: What is Kunoichi best at, Crowd Clearing, or General
Defeating?
Answer: Both, her STTT is good for General Defeating, but her 
SSTTT and SSSTTT are both good for Crowd Clearing, SSTTT is
not a bad General Defeater either!

Question: Which one of Kunoichi's outfits do you like better in
this game, number 1 or 2?
Answer: 1

Question: Why does Kunoichi wear that stupid hat?
Answer: I don't know? Go and ask the game producers, and I
think it looks cool. 

Question: This FAQ is rubbish!
Answer: Go and make your own then! And that wasn't even a
question.
