  - 2 of 5 vehicles
  - 1 of 5 engines
  - 1 of 5 bumpers

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- 3 -- INTRODUCTION -- [zvintr] ----------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How many of you have ever heard of this game?
Zombie Virus hasn't ever been released in the USA, so I'm guessing only few
 lucky people know this game.
It was first released as "The Zombie vs Kyuukyuusha" (which translates to
"The Zombie vs Ambulance") in Japan as vol.95 of the "Simple 2000 Series".
Some time later it was released in Europe by Essential Games under the more
 comprehensible name "Zombie Virus".
This is basically a low budget game where your objective is to drive over
zombies while you take some survivors to the hospital. It may sound pretty
stupid, but it's in fact a lot of fun, especially since you have different
ambulances to choose from, and a total of 20 parts to customize the aspect
 and statistics of your vehicles.
This guide, in fact, covers the customization aspect of the game. ^^
Right now it's incomplete, with a couple of items and requirements still
missing, but I plan on filling the gaps pretty soon, although this game is
pretty long for a low-budget product.

The key is that weird thing in square brackets.

-- 5 -- VEHICLES -- [zvvehi] --------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a list of all the five vehicles that you can get in this game.
Each one is accompanied by its initial stats and a quick explanation on how it
 is unlocked.
Note that the stats are marked with stars like in the game, one star (*) being
the lowest rank and five stars (*****) the highest.
Here is a brief explanation of each stat:
  - Capacity: how many people can be rescued; each star stands for one person.
  - Durability: how much punishment can the vehicle take before breaking down.
  - Speed: maximum speed.
  - Weight: total weight.
  - Search Range: how many kinds of items can be seen on the radar.
  - Damage Power: how effective is the vehicle against zombies.
Every stat, with the exception of Capacity, can be increased (or decreased) by
attaching different parts. This, however, will be covered in the next section.

-- Ambulance (S) -- [zvambs] --

 Durability | **

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- 6 -- PARTS -- [zvpart] -----------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Parts can be used to customize the stats (and appearance) of each vehicle.
To equip any parts, you need, first of all, to unlock them.
After that is done, go talk to the guy in the upper right corner of your base.
First, he'll ask you what vehicle you want to customize. When you've made your
choice, you'll be taken to the Parts menu.
With the L1 and R1 buttons you can navigate through the 4 categories (Engine,
Tire, Bumper, Lights), while with the Up and Down buttons you can select the
 part you want to equip.
Remember that the part marked in red is the one currently equipped.
When you choose a part, before attaching it, the game will show you how it's
going to affect the stats of your vehicle.
Red stars means that stat will increase, blue stars means it will decrease.
A row of flashing stars next to a stat means that it's higher than 5.
At that point, confirm to equip that part, or cancel to return to the Parts
 menu.
As previously stated in the Vehicles section, a Part can not raise Capacity.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- 7 -- DEVELOPMENT -- [zvdeve] -----------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Development is one of the best aspects of Zombie Virus, and also the most
important one. In short, it consists of having your mechanics make new parts
and ambulances while you're out there having fun with some zombies.
It can be divided in two parts: first, rescue mechanics and, then, put them
 to work.
Rescuing mechanics is important because every 4 mechanics you save, you gain
a Research Level, and the amount of items you can create increases.

-- Research Level -- [zvrslv] --
--------------------------------
--
When the game begins, you have a Research Levels of 0 (which means you have
no mechanics available, so you can't create anything).
In order to increase your level, you need to go out there and do your best to
take these guys to your hospital.
Every 4 mechanics rescued, you get an increase in your Research Level and can
 create 2-3 additional items.
--
You can check your level anytime by talking to the nurse in the rightmost
part of your base. She'll also tell you which vehicles you've unlocked so far
and other statistics, like the number of zombies you've disposed of.
--

-- Unlocking Vehicles/Parts -- [zvunlo] --
------------------------------------------
--
As said before, you can unlock new items to create by saving a certain number
of mechanics. Whenever your level increases, be sure to talk to the chief
mechanic to the right part of HQ: first, he'll tell you what new items have
been unlocked, and then he'll show you a list of the parts and vehicles you
 have unlocked so far.
Items listed in white haven't been created yet, while ones listed in red are
already available and ready to use.
--
When you wish to develop a new item, go talk to the chief mechanic and choose
the item you want your crew to create.
At that point, the game will tell you how many zombies you must kill before
 development is complete.
Note that you do not need to kill that amount of zombies in one go, i.e. if
you need 100 kills in order to create <item>, you can go out, kill 15, come
back, go out, kill another 40, come back, and so on until you've reached 100.
While you're driving, you can view the amount of remaining kills to the left
 of your screen.

Before you send any email, however, make sure the subject is "Zombie Virus
 Guide" or something like that.
