01. Introduction

We have waited ages for the new star wars film to arrive in the cinemas. Star wars episode III
Revenge of the Sith will tie up all the loose ends and answer all of those unanswered questions.
Alongside the film they have released a game. There have been few star wars games where you
follow the film and get to play as a jedi. In this game you get to do just that. You get to play
as a jedi, use your lightsaber and use the force in a variety of ways. There are plenty of scenes
from the film which you can watch as well. The graphics are also great which adds to the star wars
experience. This is a great game for star wars fans.

02. Controls

The controls are very simple. When you first play the game you may find it hard to get to grips
with but after five minutes you will know every combo off by heart. Just persevere.

Square - Fast Attack
Circle - Critical attack/ interact
Triangle - Strong attack
X - Jump. Press twice to double jump*
L1 - Block
L2 - Saber throw
R1 - Push/grab
R2 - Stun=/lightning
LAS - Move
RAS - Force target
Start - Pause
Select - Nothing

*When jumping push the LAS in the direction that you wish to jump. Jumping is very useful in getting
out of tricky situations.

03. Characters

You get to play as a variety of characters throughout the game. In the missions you only get to play
as Obi-wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. However in multiplayer you get to play as all the characters
you defeat in the story missions. For example you get to play as Mace Windu. In the bonus missions
you also get to play as different characters. For example Yoda who is amazing.

04. Basic Moves

The basic moves are as follows:
Square is a fast attack with little power
Circle is slow but potentially lethal
Triangle is in the middle.
You will automatically block incoming bullets.
Press L1 to block incoming fire. NOT CANNONS.
Tap L1 before the bullet hits you to repel. Only on weak weapons.
While blocking you will defend the closest threat.

05. Combo attacks

Whilst playing the game, try different combinations of square, circle, triangle and X. You will learn
lots of amazing moves. Each is better than others at certain enemies. You can also practice combos
in multiplayer. Combos are the key to defeating multiple enemies quickly. Here are a few starters:

Standing Rapid Slash Combo: Square, Square, Square
Standing Rapid Back Strike: Square, Square, Triangle
Standing Rapid Jung Slash: Square, Triangle, Triangle
Rapid Slash Combo: Move analog stick towards enemy and press Square, Square, Square.
Push the LAS twice in a direction for a quick movement. This increases the effect of combos.

06. Force Moves

In order to be a good Jedi you must not only have the ability to destroy things with your lightsaber,
but must be able to use the force. The force can be used in many different ways. Some ways work better
than others. You can use force moves on SOME enemy Jedi/Siths. Move the RAS to target an enemy
or object. The enemy or object will turn blue so that you know that you have selected it.

Force Push

Press the R1 button to perform the force push. Your character will produce a wave of energy. This will
Knock back, kill or cause damage to enemies in the way. Effective against a group of droids.

Force Grasp

Hold the R1 button to perfrom the force grasp. The enemy will now be in the air. Move the left analog
stick in the direction that you want to throw the enemy. You can have lots of fun with this. You can
throw a droid, for example, at other droids which will kill them all. You can throw a droid into an
object which will cause it to explode. My favourite thing to do is to pick up and object and throw
it at a droid. It will explode and kill any droids around it. When having a lightsaber battle you can
throw objects at you opponent to knock them back. This is excellent for defeating the rolling droids.

Force Stun/Lightning

Hold the R2 button to stun a group of droids. This works best if they are standing together. If you stun
them for long enough they will be motionless for a while. You can then finish them off or kill someone
else. Be careful. If you don't hold it down long enough the droid will ge back up and start shooting you.
This has a different effect on the weak minded. Like the clone troopers. If you hold down R2 for long
enough they will fight for you for a short while. Once you reach a certain level Anakin's force stun
will be replaced with lightening. Hold R2 to shoot out some lightning. This will kill a droid immediately
and seriously hurt anyone else.

Saber Throw

When you push the L2 button you will throw your lightsaber. The longer you hold down L2 the further you
will throw it. This is not only good at killing droids that you can't reach, but is also used to destroy
generators and switches. This move also works in lightsaber fights. Be carful though. When you throw it
you will be defenless for a couple of seconds so watch out.

Force Heal

This sounds really good but it is not as good as you might think. Press and hold R3 and L3 (Push both
analog sticks in). You will start to regain health. However your force bar will be used up in about five
seconds. It is not really worth it until you get the upgrade. Make sure when using it you are on your
own as droids can hit you whilst you are healing yourself.

Force Speed

Move the LAS twice in a direction to boost in that direction for half a second. This is an excellent thing
to use when doing combos as it does more damage. This can't be upgraded though. This is also good for
dodging incoming fire.

07. Using Force and Lightsaber

The key to being a good jedi is the ability to use both force and lightsaber. When fighting enemies don't just
keep hitting them with your lightsaber. On the other hand don't just stand still and keep throwing force waves
at them. Use them both. When facing lots of droids kill the ones in front of you. Then try and get some droids
grouped together. You can then throw something into them and kill them all. You can also stun them and then
go up to them and destroy them or kill another enemy. This is the same when fighting other jedi/siths. You use
mostly your lightsaber to perform combos, but you can also use the force. You can throw things at you opponent
to know them back. Stun them so you can go up to them and hit them, and once you get the upgrade as Anakin
you can electrocute them. However when you fight more experienced players it is much harder to use the force
against them as they will block it. It is still possible though you just have to catch them off guard. Make
sure that they don't use the force against you either. Always hold L1.

08. Force Action Icons

Throughout the game you will have to use the force action icons. This is used when you need to get to certain
places that you can't normally reach. There will be a circle on the ground where you need to jump. Stand on
it and hold X. The computer will then take you to the desired spot. The other force action icon is the force
focus icon. This is needed to change something in your surroundings. For example you might need to move
a ship out of the way. To do this stand on the icon on the floor and hold R1. Them move the object using
the LAS. This is used a lot during the game.

09. Advanced Moves

This is where the game really gets exciting. You can know take the force and your lightsaber to new extremes.
You cannot complete the game without using advanced moves. They are essential in beating the likes of
Mace Windu and Anakin.

When someone grabs hold of you, quckly press square and triangle at the same time to escape. You must press
this at the begginging of the grapple. Also press square and triangle at the same time to escape a force
stun. When you have seriously hurt an enemy press circle to finish them off. This attack is impossible to
block. When lying on the ground, which happens a lot, press the square and triangle button to stop enemies
attacking you. When blocking, by pressing and holding L1, if you press triangle or square you can attack them.
When fighting a jedi/sith you often go into a saber lock. This is when two strong attacks collide. Keep
pressing triangle and square at the same time to win. This means you get to hit them a couple of times.
If you loose they do the same to you. You don't want this to happen when fighting Anakin. Lastly if you press
L1 right before being hit by a bullet you will deflect it back to where it came from. Use this to defeat
enemies who are far away. During the game you will also have to get throught doors. Go up to it and hold
circle to plunge you lightsaber into it. Then use the left analog stick to create a hoel in

10. Experience, Skill upgrades

When you kill someone it will rate the kill. For instance fair of Master. At the end of the level it wil
show you how much experience you earned. Use this to increase your skills. You can also buy upgrades.
There are plenty to choose from and they are really great at defeating enemies.

11. Lightsaber Fights

The key to a good jedi/sith is your ability to defeat people in lightsaber battles. Use all of your combos
and the force to defeat you enemies. They key to winning is to never let go of L1. If you do then your
enemy can half your health in a matter of seconds. Especially Anakin. The advanced enemies will be able
to block a lot of your force moves and combos so you have to catch them off guards. When you get into a
lightsaber lock keep hammering square and triangle to win. When fighting powerful enemies you can be
hammering the keys for minutes. Just kepp at it.

12. Blaster Cannon

As well as using the force and a lightsaber you occasionaly get to use a blaster cannon. Press circle to jump
into the cannon. Use the LAS to aim. Hold squre of R1 for low power but fast firing shots. Hold triangle or
L1 for a single powerful shot. Both of these shots cause the heat meter to increase. Keep an eye on the heat
meter. If it gets to hot then you won't be able to fire for a couple of seconds. You basically become a sitting
duck. The powerful shot increases the heat meter more. Also you are not invincible in the cannon. You can still
be hurt so watch out.

13. Bonus Missions

You unlock the bonus missions when you complete certain levels in the story mode. In the bonus missions
you get to play as different characters like Yoda and Darth Vada. Yoda is extremely fast and Darth Vader
is incredibly powerful. They can also be used in multiplayer fighting. You also get to play as Ben
Kenobi (Obi-Wan Kenobi in the fourth, fifth and sixth film). In the bonus missions you have to fight
waves of enemies who get harder each time.

14. Multiplayer

There are two types of multiplayer. Versus mode and Cooperative Mode. In versus mode you select your jedi
or sith and fight a friend or the computer. The characters you defeat in the story mode becmoe available
in the versus mode. You also unlock arenas.

In cooperative mode it is like a single player mission but with two characters. You and your friend work together
to complete the level. However if one of you dies you loose the mission. You can also play with the computer
as practice for the story missions.
