The names of things have been roughly translated and are different from what's in the North American version now. So I hope this helps. My info's from personal experience, the GameFAQs message boards, and the Brady Games Player's Guide. Enjoy! NOTE: Sometimes my guide isn't up-to-date, due to the time between submission after updating and uploading by GameFAQs. So you can go to www.angelfire.com/games5/megafierce where I can upload the updated guide myself right away (and usually do). You know, the irony is the guide with this info will be on there, first, before it's on GameFAQs... heh. -VERSION 0.1- I'm going to submit this while it's partially completed. All it lists is the enemy that drops it and the odds that the enemy will drop it. And the enemy locations for the carriers of the Blazing Shard. -VERSION 0.2- Got the locations of the enemies down, all except Bulky Vendor. I've only found four BV spawn spots. There's one more that I need. I'm going to try to submit this again. -VERSION 0.25- Finished the Orichalcum+ FAQ Section. -VERSION 0.7- Material List, Synthesis List and Synthesis Prizes are done. I've also added in a few more specific enemy locations for Beast's Castle and Agrabah. -VERSION 0.72- Good, it was finally accepted. Yay! I was GOING to check and see, but I had about five emails in my inbox concerning it already, so it was unnecessary. I forgot to post this last time, but I found and confirmed the last Bulky Vendor spawn point. I was also told the answer to my Free Development prize question. I just hope I don't get like thirty emails about it in my inbox before the update's posted... :P -VERSION 0.73- It's been a busy couple of days. School, work, preparing for a trip later this week... bleh. Don't expect a whole lot done in the near future... until sometime after May 20th or so. A bit more info- some Orichalcum chest locations and more specific directions to the Orichalcum+ in TWTNW. -VERSION 0.74- I really, really should be cleaning my basement right now :P With that said, a minor update in the Enemy Drop List section, and a new section, called Random Questions. Just a couple things I heard asked in the KH2 message boards that didn't really fit anywhere else in my guide. And another update that's so minor it doesn't even up the version number. -VERSION 0.75- Got the locations of enemies in Olympus Coliseum, Land of Dragons, Timeless River, and Port Royal. I can't be sure if it's complete, as Nobodies don't always appear in certain areas, so I might've missed some of 'em. -VERSION 0.76- Yeah, well, I've really got very little to update. I'm more or less posting a notice here. Finals and high school graduation are coming up right away, so that's reason #1 why there won't be major updates for a little while longer. Reason #2 is because my friend took my guide from my house while he and another friend house-sat while I was in Vegas, so I lost that information source temporarily. Reason #3 is because I'm working on a newer file, trying to get all the recipes and stuff at game's end, then visiting a Synthesis shop for the first time to confirm a few things and get base recipes. -VERSION 0.8- A moogle level section, huh? Seems like a good idea to me. I should put it in! Though I don't have anything on it right now- that'll have to wait for a few days yet. I've done a few more end-game enemy locations, but I'm feeling strangely sleepy right now, so I'm calling it quits for the night. Of the above locations, all that's left are Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden, battle level 45, Twilight Town, battle level 47, and The World That Never Was, battle level 50. -VERSION 0.81- No freakin' wonder I was sleepy, I wake up this morning VERY badly sick. At one point, I barely had the energy to walk upstairs to have a bath- I nearly passed out in the shower stall. Er, anyways, now all the end-game enemy locations are done, save perhaps for some Nobodies that're in worlds other than Twilight Town and TWTNW, since they don't always appear. Enjoy! -VERSION 0.82- OK, it's time for another minor update. If anyone's been wondering why I haven't been updating in a while... well, that's because I haven't been playing KH2 in a while. I've been doing other things. High school's winding towards an end for me, and I've been moderately busy. So... don't expect anything big for a little while. -VERSION 0.83- Someone emailed me with a brief overview of what you get when the Moogle levels up, so I put that in the Moogle Level-Up section. Enjoy. -VERSION 0.85- Well, I got an email today, and it was from a GameFAQs user named Falconesque. *checks spelling* They wrote up an addition for the Bestiary/Synthesis Guide, and offered the use of it to me if I so wished. Usually, I don't accept things from other people, especially if it's something I want to work on myself in more depth, but this was well-enough put together that I decided to link to it (and steal some stuff from it too :P). So if you're looking for some additional info that I don't have, this is a good spot. http://www.esque.com/slr/gamefaqs/kh2_synthesis_additions.txt And from this, I'm stealing the information for my newest section: Materials Needed to Synthesize Everything. Finally, it appears something screwed up and Version 8.3 didn't upload to GameFAQs properly. >:( I apologize. -VERSION 0.9- Well, I got the item classification and the true item recipes done... to a point. I'm still missing a few recipes in my game, and I haven't distinguished between Free Development 1 and 2. I'd do that tonight, but my eyelids are getting pretty heavy, so I'll submit this version and go to sleep. -VERSION 0.91- OK, the item classification is fully complete. The true recipes aren't, however. Both the Defense Recipe and the Style Recipe (I believe that's their names) are in 100 Acre Wood. I avoided that level like the plague in my playthrough, and due to work tomorrow morning, can't stay up working on it. If this uploads before I get to work on it, you'll just have to wait. *Please upload properly!* ----------------- Table of Contents ----------------- 1. Enemy Drop List ------------------ This list is ranked in order of items by alphabetical/Rarity order... Confusing? Well, it's like this: They are put alphabetically in terms of material type name, so it would start off with the Blazing Materials, then the Bright Materials, and so on. But each material set is ranked in terms of their Rarity level. So the first eight items in the list are in this order: Blazing Shard, Blazing Stone, Blazing Gem, Blazing Crystal, Bright Shard, Bright Stone, Bright Gem, Bright Crystal. Got it memorized? Note: While certain enemies are listed as appearing in the worlds, the truth is that they may not appear all the time in a specific location. The Dragoons in Beast's Castle are a good example. My old note here used to say that certain enemies only sometimes appear for scripted battles, and they were still listed when they didn't appear randomly, but I may be wrong. This is gonna take so long to fully guarantee everything. *sighs* Note: Nothing other than Orichalcums, Orichalcum+ses, and Mythril materials are found in treasure chests. 1.01:1 Blazing Shard -------------------- ENEMY 1: Hammer Frame DROP CHANCE: 10% APPEARS IN: Timeless River - Battle level 19. Bulky Vendor FAQ Section --------------------------- When you enter specific areas, you might get a message saying, "There's a Rare Heartless!" These are the Bulky Vendors. Immediately, you must destroy every destructable object in the area, and for the love of Pete, do NOT leave the area! At some point (for me, when I destroy the first thing) some enemies and the Bulky Vendor(s) will appear. Now, the Bulky Vendors are special. They cannot be hurt by you, but their HP decreases at a fixed rate over time. For each quarter of their HP that is remaining, they have different Reaction Commands. Note that the Vendors run around like crazy when their HP gets lower, so it gets harder to get to the front of them to use the Reaction. HP | Reaction Command | Prize ------------------------------------------------------------ 100-75% | Capsule Prize | Bright Shard 74-50% | Rare Capsule | Bright Stone 49-24% | Limited Capsule | Bright Gem 24-1% | Prime Capsule | Bright Crystal You will always get the Bright Material it drops- the drops have 100% chances. They will also drop numbers of HP, Munny, and Drive orbs, depending on what Reaction you had. They also drop Orichalcums. Unlike the Bright Materials, these do NOT always drop. Now, I have seen conflicting points having to do with the drop rate of Orichalcums. Some say it varies depending on the Reaction, some say it's always the same- Obviously the better rate is supposed to be when its HP is lowest according to this method. The proposed difference between drop rates for Orichalcums at the Vendor's worst and at its best aren't that much different- the lowest rate is higher than most other synth material drops anyways. I say, if you're wanting an Orichalcum more, wait a little for its HP to drop somewhat and try. If you want a specific lower-level Bright material, though, then get it and take your chances. So far, I have found all the areas where the Bulky Vendors spawn. They are: Land of Dragons | Checkpoint Beast's Castle | West Hall Agrabah | Bazaar Halloween Town | Candy Cane Lane (Two Bulky Vendors spawn here!)*** Olympus Coliseum | Cave of the Dead: Entrance (Two BVs again!) ***Note that at Candy Cane Lane, you must spin the merry-go-round to make the Heartless appear. -------------------------------------------- 4. Mythril Material and Orichalcum Locations -------------------------------------------- OK, this is for the locations of these materials in treasure chests. -----NOTE: You can also get Mythril Materials by Free Development/Serenity material add-ons, and Orichalcums by robbing Bulky Vendors. And you can get them as Synthesis Prizes, too. Orichalcums: *Dunno if this list is complete, I don't have the time (or the PS2) to check right now, so... yeah. It was sent in by Michael Murillo via email.* 1. Kanga's House (100 Acre Wood) 2. The Spooky Cave (100 Acre Wood) 3. Throne Room (Land of Dragons) 4. Ship Graveyard Seadrift Keep (Port Royal) 5. Underground Concourse (Twilight Town) 6. Tunnelway (Twilight Town) 7. Mansion Library (Twilight Town) 8. Fragment Crossing (The World That Never Was) 9. Nothing's Call (The World That Never Was) 10. Naught's Skyway (The World That Never Was) 11. Ruin and Creation's Passage (World That Never Was) Mythril Materials: Synthesize them. Sorry, but I still don't have treasure chest locations. ---------------------------------------- 5. Orichalcum+/Ultima Weapon FAQ Section ---------------------------------------- Orichalcum+ses have only one use- making the Ultima Weapon. There are 7 in all. The recipe says you need 13 to make it, but you can cut the ingredients in half with an Energy Crystal and it all works out. UPDATE: I thought this was obvious, but the Moogle needs to be a high enough level to use Energy materials (LV2) before you can use an Energy Crystal to make this. You need the Ultima Recipe to make the Ultima Weapon. It's found in Twilight Town, in the room where Donald and Goofy were sleeping, as Sora. Don't go frantically looking for it as Roxas; you'll never find it. The stats of the Ultima Weapon are: 6 Strength, 4 Magic, MP Hastega as Weapon Ability. The locations of the seven Orichalcum+ses are: Space Paranoids - Central Computer Mesa (chest) Twilight Town - Sunset Terrace (as Sora) (chest) The World That Never Was - The Brink of Despair (chest)*** 100 Acre Wood - Finish Starry Hill Atlantica - Finish "A New Day is Dawning" Olympus Coliseum - Beat Goddess of Fate Cup Any Moogle Shop - Get at least one of EVERY other material That wasn't so hard, was it? ***I should state that the Orichalcum found here is hugging the wall of a building on a narrow ledge next to the pit below the Org's castle. So you might not notice it the first time you go through. It is NOT the large treasure chest. Note: THERE IS NO ULTIMA WEAPON+. UPDATE: Well, this seems to happen a lot, though I don't know why people don't realize it at the time, realize it after going back, or why it isn't given directly to the moogle in the first place... When you get the Orichalcum+ prize for obtaining one of every material, YOU MUST LEAVE THE MOOGLE SHOP AND RETURN TO SUBMIT IT TO THE MOOGLE. If you don't do so, even if you have all the other necessary materials, the Ultima Weapon cannot be made. OK? Good. ----------------------------- 6. Synthesis Recipe Locations ----------------------------- Don't have it yet. Go check the Bestiary/Synthesis Guide, they've got that info. -------------------------- 7. Synthesis Creation List -------------------------- This is the list of items in the Creations area and their recipes. The list IS complete, despite what I had in here earlier... <_< >_> As well, the item costs are reduced from their original, because my Moogle is maxed out. :P On my new playthrough, I won't be synthesizing anything until I get all recipes, so then I can tell you what the normal costs are. OK, my new playthrough is finally complete... well, almost. Still need to get all the Recipes. But until then, every item I have the true price for will have an asterisk next to its number. Total Materials Needed to Synthesize Everything --------------------------------------------------- This info was stol- BORROWED from http://www.esque.com/slr/gamefaqs/kh2_synthesis_additions.txt Collect all these materials, and you can make every synthesis item without needing to halve costs of anything (excluding the Ultima Weapon). If you make two of any item (not counting when you add in a Serenity material to make the next item on the list) you may not end up with enough materials, so if this is all you get, don't make any more. Of course, since the Moogles level up as you synthesize things, and thereby drop the costs of items in the Creations section, you'll likely end up with a surplus of materials in the end. But with these numbers, you can make all the items, in any order that pleases you. --------------------- Blazing Shards: 4 Blazing Stones: 4 Blazing Gems: 2 Blazing Crystals: 6 Frost Shards: 4 Frost Stones: 4 Frost Gems: 2 Frost Crystals: 6 Lightning Shards: 4 Lightning Stones: 4 Lightning Gems: 2 Lightning Crystals: 6 Lucid Shards: 4 Lucid Stones: 4 Lucid Gems: 2 Lucid Crystals: 6 Power Shards: 4 Power Stones: 8 Power Gems: 2 Power Crystals: 6 Dark Shards: 12 Dark Stones: 8 Dark Gems: 4 Dark Crystals: 8 Dense Shards: 26 Dense Stones: 18 Dense Gems: 16 Dense Crystals: 9 Twilight Shards: 26 Twilight Stones: 18 Twilight Gems: 16 Twilight Crystals: 9 Mythril Shards: 53 Mythril Stones: 38 Mythril Gems: 14 Mythril Crystals: 17 Bright Shards: -- Bright Stones: -- Bright Gems: -- Bright Crystals: -- Energy Shards: -- Energy Stones: -- Energy Gems: -- Energy Crystals: 1 Serenity Shards: 7 Serenity Stones: 7 Serenity Gems: 4 Serenity Crystals: 5 Orichalcum: 13 Orichalcum+: 7 ------------------------ 12. Some Random Questions ------------------------ Q: My moogle can't use Bright, Energy, or Serenity items. A: I know. You must slaughter 100 virgins and bathe in their blood before it will. In all seriousness, level it up. Q: How do I level up my moogle? A: You must synthesize things. The moogle gains EXP for each item synthesized. The EXP earned is dependent on the item you make. Q: Do you have any KH2 hent-*dead* A: ... Q: Is it all right if I call Xenmas "Mansex"? A: No. Absolutely not. The joke was funny the first time I saw it. Now it's old. Really old. You will be forced to eat a fragmentation grenade if I hear you say that in my presence. Q: You referred to a Pride Rock level up trick... A: Get magic to level 53, equip Experience Boost and the Gull Wing Keyblade, get Magnega, get your health down to critical, then run to the Peak of Pride Rock and cast Magnega rapidly. Watch what happens. Also a good way to get masses of Lightning Shards. Q: To complete the journal... A: Stop, I'm pretty sure I know what you're asking. You have to complete the Synthesis List and the Synthesis Prizes sections in this guide in order to complete Jiminy's Journal and get the secret video on Normal mode. You also have to see/defeat (not sure which) all the enemies in the game, so you can use the enemy locations I have in here for help with that, too. Q: OK, so you get the "secret video" on Normal by completing the Journal. What about the other modes? A: Uh? I'm not sure why you'd ask me this question, as opposed to someone who wrote a complete FAQ, or even just on the message board, but OK: --Beginner: Get Roxas to level 99 or kill self. (You can't get it) --Standard: Complete the Journal --Proud: Seal all worlds. That means complete the Story in all of them. ---------- 13. Closing ---------- Well, that's that.
