1 - INTRODUCTION
================
================

Jak 3 is the third in a series of games developed by Naughty Dog,
and is one of my favourite games.

Why? 

Good graphics, even better gameplay, tons of stuff to 
collect and, of course, WEAPONS!!!!!!!!!

This guide has been produced to give you info on all the 
Jak 3 weapons, including where to get them, usefullness ratings, 
ammo count, upgrades and more!

2 - KEY TO THE WEAPON GUIDE
===========================
===========================

The Weapon Guide will be laid out in a certain format. This short
section will tell you the meanings of the different factors in 
the main guide.

(COLOUR) Weapons           - Under these headings will be the 
                             weapons in each of the four
====================         coloured groups.

WEAPON NAME - The weapon's name will be displayed here.

Brief Description: - A short two or three line description of the 
weapon.

Power /10: - The overall power of weapon, out of ten. 
Higher rating = more power.

Ammo Count: - The amount of ammo this weapon has, WITHOUT the 
ammo upgrades from the secrets menu. Also, how much ammo is used 
for each shot (ps = per shot).

Usefullness Rating /10: - How often you will probably use the 
weapon in the game, out of ten.

Rate Of Fire /10: - How quickly the gun can be re-fired, out of 
ten. Higher rating = faster ROF.

Range /10: - How far the bullets can travel, out of ten. Higher 
rating = bigger range.

Overall /10: - An overall rating, out of ten.

Obtained: - In which mission the gun is obtained.

3 - WEAPON GUIDE

This is it folks, the main section! As I said before, I've tried 
to make it as detailed as possible, so I hope it helps.

NOTE: In each coloured group, the last two weapons are both 
upgrades to the first one.

Red Weapons
====================

SCATTER GUN
Description: A weak gun. Normally hits multiple enemies, but has 
a very slow ROF and its range is just as bad. Only useful right
at the beginning of the game, if you're ever going to use it 
at all.
Power /10: 2
Ammo Count: 50, 1ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 2
ROF /10: 2
Range /10: 2
Overall /10: 2
Obtained: 'Earn First War Amulet' mission. ACT I

WAVE CONCUSSOR
Description: This is good. Use it in a small area with loads of 
enemies and you'd be surprised by the results. Average ROF, okay 
power, used a lot. Whichever member of the design team that 
thought this gun up is pretty clever.
Power /10: 4
Ammo Count: 75, 2-5ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 7
ROF /10: 5
Range /10: 3
Overall /10: 5
Obtained: 'Earn Second War Amulet' mission. ACT I

PLASMITE RPG
Description: Cool, a grenade launcher. Very powerful, but eats 
away at the ammo (10 AMMO PER SHOT?!), it also has a slow ROF. 
Good range though. Ideal for taking down a small cluster of
enemies from a medium distance.
Power /10: 9
Ammo Count: 100, 10ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 5
ROF /10: 2
Range /10: 7

Obtained: 'Complete Gun Course 2' mission. ACT II

Yellow Weapons

BLASTER RIFLE
Description: Ah, the good old Blaster. Strong, reliable, 
good ROF. Auto-aiming as well. This gun will be used quite a bit,
until you get the first upgrade...
Power /10: 2
Ammo Count: 100, 1ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 7
ROF /10: 7
Range /10: 9
Overall /10: 6.5
Obtained: 'Earn First War Amulet' mission. ACT I

BEAM REFLEXOR
Description: Same as the Blaster, except... rebounding shots! 
The perfect weapon for when you're surrounded by bloodthirsty 
enemies who really want to rip your head off. Good ROF and
reasonable power make this the gun of choice in many areas of 
the game.
Power /10: 5
Ammo Count: 125, 1-4ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 9
ROF /10: 7
Range /10: 9
Overall /10: 8
Obtained: 'Earn Second War Amulet' mission. ACT I

GYRO BURSTER
Description: Come on! This is one of the best. Press R1, and 
you'll send out a small flying disc of some sort. Now, 
stand back and watch the fireworks! Extremely useful when you're 
surrounded by loads of enemies, but also takes up quite a bit 
of ammo.

Ammo Count: 150, 50ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 8
ROF /10: 10
Range /10: 8

Blue Weapons

VULCAN FURY
Description: Machine Gun! Yay! Wreck havoc on enemies in medium 
range with this incredibly quick-firing weapon. Useful for a 
handful of situations, but the ammo is slightly tight to begin 
with.

Usefullness Rating /10: 6
ROF /10: 9
Range /10: 10
Overall /10: 6.5
Obtained: 'Defeat Marauders in Arena' mission. ACT I

ARC WIELDER
Description: Have you ever played Ratchet and Clank? If you have, 
you'll notice that this gun is strikingly similar to the 
Tesla Claw (which was always one of my favourites). 
Continuous ROF, amazing range, decent power. If you don't watch 
out, though, you could run out of ammo quickly.
Power /10: 5
Ammo Count: 150, 2-3 per second
Usefullness Rating /10: 8
ROF /10: 10
Range /10: 10
Overall /10: 8.5
Obtained: 'Defeat Veger's Precursor Robot' mission. ACT I

NEEDLE LAZER
Description: A good idea for a weapon, but weak. Even if Jak is 
facing the opposite direction, the bullets will still hit an 
enemy. Would be one of the best weapons in the game if the power 
was doubled.
Power /10: 3
Ammo Count: 200, 3ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 3
ROF /10: 8
Range /10: 7
Overall /10: 4.5
Obtained: 'Destroy Eco Grid with Jinx' mission. ACT II

Dark Weapons
====================

PEACE MAKER
Description: Making a return from Jak II, this weapon seems 
weaker than what it used to be. It has a long range and blast 
radius, but a tiny ammo capacity. Still, it is useful in several 
situations (such as the final boss).
Power /10: 9
Ammo Count: 5, 1ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 5
ROF /10: 1
Range /10: 8
Overall /10: 5
Obtained: 'Break Barrier with Blast Bot' mission. ACT II

MASS INVERTER
Description: The Mass Inverter, in my opinion, is the best weapon 
in the game. When fired, it causes anything within its radius to 
be lifted off the ground and spun around, allowing you to kill 
them all with ease. It also drops them after several seconds, 
causing even more damage. The member of the design team that 
thought this one up should be made a God. 
Power /10: 5
Ammo Count: 10, 1ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 10
ROF /10: 5, considering that it lasts for 5 seconds
Range /10: 6
Overall /10: 9, because it's so good and easy to use
Obtained: 'Beat Cyber Errol Boss' mission. ACT II

SUPER NOVA
Description: Two words - Massive. Destruction. Fires a bomb that 
blows anything on the screen into oblivion. There's only one 
major drawback: it uses 10 AMMO PER SHOT! So only use it when
you really need to.
Power /10: 10
Ammo Count: 15, 10ps
Usefullness Rating /10: 5, it takes up too much ammo
ROF /10: 3
Range /10: 10
Overall /10: 6

Now it's time for the weapon add-ons. If you go to the secrets 
menu, you can spend your hard-earned Precursor Orbs on stuff to 
make your weapons better. The list below shows you the names of 
the add-ons, a brief description and the price in PO 
(Precursor Orbs).
