01. Version History
-------------
Version 2.41 - 3/9/05
Finally got an ASCII thanks to Kuroi Youkai.

Version 2.40 - 3/4/05
Yes, my updates are very fast. That is because I have no life and I will be
lucky to get one. Added more to Game Basics.

Version 2.30 - 3/1/05
Changed or added some boss strategies. Some might not be good, but if you
have a better one you can e-mail them to me and I will credit you for it.

Version 2.20 - 2/26/05
Completed the Graphics and Movie locations. Added an accessory list and
location. Also found a bunch of mispelled words so I fixed it.

Version 2.00 - 2/20/05
I think this deserve a whole number upgrade. I added a lot of stuff to this.
I included details about what they talk about and from the movies
too. I added a Graphic and Movie location guide too, although it isn't
complete. I will probably put up an equipment guide in the next version.

Version 1.00 - 2/11/05
This is the complete walkthrough. I only wrote what I did, but it gets
you to the end of the game.

alchemy guage to the max and get near Al or get Al near you. The word
"Special" will appear above Ed's HP bar then press RI to use the special.

put a weapon down and hold O to transmute them again. You will also need
items such as Wind Element, Fire Element, or Lightning elements to do this.

04. Walkthrough
-------------
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
I. Central Railway
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
You start off on a train to Hiessgart. It will then get taken over by the
People's Eastern Revolution Front and now you have to stop them. Armstrong
will take the back cars, Al will take the bottom front, and you have to go
on the top. Climb up the ladder to the roof.

---Train Rooftop---
There will be three guys on the top of the train. Take them out and then three
more will appear. You can hold circle and use alchemy to defeat them or just
use your blade. After they are gone, move forward a couple cars and you can
will jump into the car.

---Freight Car---
Start by transmuting the box to get lance. After you pick up the lance, two
guys will appear. Defeat them and take the elixir in the chest. Go north and
into the next room.

---Freight Car---
You can transmute the cart thing into a cannon or a machine gun. The machine
gun will have 30 bullets and the cannon will have 3 cannon balls. Pick either
one and use it to defeat the enemies in front of you. Move north and transmute
the cart thing into another weapon. When you get close enough to the exit
two guys will appear from the back. Defeat them with either your weapon or
whatever you chose to transmute the cart thing into. Then take the Lead
Bangle in the chest and equip it. Go to the north exit. You will meet up with
Al and go to the exit.

---Coach Car---
There will be one enemy standing in front of you. You can command Al to defeat
him or do it by yourself. Two more enemies will appear. They have guns so be
careful or build a wall in front of yourself. After they are defeated, three
more will come in from the back. They have handguns. Defeat them and take the
lead plate on the left side of the car. Now move to the next cart.

---Coach Car---
You can transmute the trash can to a weapon for Al. Give him the weapon and
two enemies come in. They are melee type so it is easy. After that, three more
will come in. Defeat them and then take the elixir on the right side. Now move
to the next car.

---Coach Car---
There are four people in this room Two of them are alchemist. Defeat them and
then Al say he will take the bottom again. Before going up the ladder, move
north and take the elixir. Now go up the ladder.

---Train Rooftop---
There will be three enemies on the top. Defeat them and three more will
appear. A couple of them are alchemists. Move up a couple carts and then go
down.

---First Class---
There is a suitcase to transmute into a weapon and a save point toward the
north. There is an elixir southwest of the save point so get it. Save and go
north to the exit and Al will rejoin you. The leader is just up ahead and
they notice that some of the enemies are in military uniforms.

---Lounge Car---
They noticed that the person is a Military Policeman and asked why he
stole the train. He tells you that he is framed for a crime and is really
innocent. They need to train to go to Hiessgart because a person named Genz
told them to. Now you will have to fight him.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Military Man
***********
He has four other people with him. You only have to defeat him. He is just
like fighting a regular enemy, so it will be easy.

After defeating him, he will run away. Save and then go to the north exit.
You will chase after him and Al helps you get on to the roof of the car.

---Train Rooftop---
Here you will meet Genz. He is the Armor-Piercing Alchemist and claims to be
the strongest.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Genz
***********
He is quite easy. Hand grenades will do the trick easily or you can just hit
him to death.

After defeating him, Ed will transmute a cannon and shoot at Genz.
Unfortunately, Genz dodges and the cannon hits the tunnel which causes
the train to derail.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
II. Reminesse Gorge
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Behind Armstrong, there is a ladder, which you can jump or climb down. Take the
chests and go back up to talk to Armstrong. Tell will tell him what happened.
Ed doesn't want to wait so he decides to walk to rest of the way to Hiessgart,
but Armstrong won't allow them to, so they run away.

---North Trestle---
Walk to the broken bridge. Ed will say you can't cross it so go back and look
in the west side to find a ladder (it is indicated by a brown square on the
map). It will have a sign for it too, so you can't miss it. Climb the ladder
and Ed and Al will start talking. Al wants to visit Wilhelm, but Ed doesn't
want to because he will find out about them and tell their master whom they
are very afraid of. After the conversation, enemies will appear. Defeat them
and go south of where you climbed up to get an elixir. After you get that go
southeast corner and go down the ladder. At the bottom is a save point. Head
south into the next screen.

---South Trestle---
There are many bandits and you start off in Fighting Frenzy mode. After
defeating them, Ed will notice the train and say that it could be useful. Go
north of the train to get a Lightning Element. West of where you came from
will be an elixir. Continue west and there will be some enemies. After
defeating them head west some more to fight even more enemies. There is quite
a bunch, but it will be an easy battle. After their defeat, go to the south
west corner to the area with a bunch of rocks. Ed has an idea to blow it up
with the train. He transmutes the train into a cannon and shoots at the
rocks. Now you are back in the area with the train. Go back across the bridge
and a chimera will be chasing a bandit. Ignore them and continue moving. You
will then encounter many chimeras. Either defeat them or run to the southwest
to the next screen.

---Moutain Pass (South)---
A girl is climbing up the rocks and then fall. She will land on Ed and tries
to run, but Ed gets up and stops her. Ed demands an apology, but she makes
fun of his size and leaves. There will be a save point. After saving, head
north a little. Many chimeras will appear. You don't actually have to fight
them. Get to the northern part of the area to head into another area.

---Moutain Pass (North)---
In this area, there are platforms to stand on. Below them are the chimeras.
Three chests on the platforms and a two or three on the bottom. Using the
platforms, head north and you will arrive at a temple and a save point. Enter
the cave.

---Cave (South)---
There are many enemies in this room. They are all melee type so it will be
easy. There is a chest a little right of the entrance for a Reloader (Wood).
Head north to the next screen.

---Cave (Center)---
There are even more enemies here. Some have guns and some are alchemist. Head
west after defeating them.

---Cave (West)---
Nothing special except a lot of bird enemies. An easy way is to transmute the
object into the sucking thing so all the enemies will be in one place. Go to
the north exit.

---Cave (North)---
There is a chest in the area with an elixir. After getting the chest, head to
the save point and save since there is going to be a boss fight next. Go to
the switch where the giant arrow is point and press it to go up.

---Tunnel---
A giant crap will fall down. The area is too narrow to fight and for Ed to use
his alchemy skill. The only thing you can do is run downwards while dodging
the attacks. It won't do much damage so there is nothing to be worried about.
When you get to the end, the crab will knock you down into the hole.

---Dead End---
The crab falls down on its back. Al notices that it is its weakness.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Crab Chimera
***********
To knock it over, have Al tackle it. Then start attacking. Repeat until
defeated. Using a special will quicken the process.

It will now show Armstrong talking to someone. Since he calls him colonel, it
must be Mustang. Mustang will scold Armstrong for allowing Ed and Al to go
to Hiessgart alone. He says he will go there and already has someone watching
over them.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
III. Hiessgart
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
---Central Plaza---
Ed and Al enter and noticed that the town is destroyed and abandoned. They
are worried about Wilhelm so they decide to go to his house. The left and
right sides have a chest with an item in it. Then go jump down and take the
left path which leads to the next area.

---Upper Suburbs---
Go all the way left for a chest with an Attack Cap in it. All the way to the
right is nothing so don't bother going there. Head down one of the paths, it
don't matter since it leads to the same place and then down the middle to a
place with a pond. Get down there and fix the pipe with your alchemy. When it
is fixed, many chimeras will appear, but you don't have to kill them all. Just
run away if you want. Go south until you run into a wall with brownish orange
pipes on it. Create a block, get on it, and jump onto the roof. Head down the
path to a chest containing a Silver Ring. After you get the items, a bunch of
the ape chimeras will appear. Run away or defeat them and head back to the
fountain in Central Plaza.

---Central Plaza---
Use your alchemy to turn the fountain to a fire hydrant to put out the fire
and move north to the next screen.

---Lower Suburbs---
Go down the path and you will see quite a few enemies. Head to the north west
area to get to the professor's house. Nobody will be home, and then a bunch of
chimeras will appear. After defeating them Ed says they will look for the
professor somewhere else. Take the chest and go to the next area.

---Wasteland---
There are enemies with guns and swords in the area as well as alchemists.
Continue down the path until you see a ladder. Go down the ladder and you will
see one enemy. After defeating that one, four more will appear. Continue
moving across the bridge and turn left for a save point. Continue moving to
the next screen.

---Lakeside (South)---
There are many chimeras in this area, but you can transmute the trees into a
crossbow that shoots five arrows at a time. Get the chests and go north to the
next screen.

---Lakeside (North)---
Move up to the river where the waterfall is. Ed will notice a silhouette
moving ahead so follow it to the next screen.

---Graveyard---
The girl will be at a grave talking to her sister. She leaves a flower on
the grave and runs off. Ed and Al will arrive and notice that it is a
graveyard. They will then see the flower on the grave. Looking carefully at
it, they found out it was Selene's grave. The pastor of the church comes and
leave, but they want to know more about Selene, so he tells them to follow
him. Go back to where you entered. Take the west stairs down and at the bottom
to the left of it is a Growth Seed. Now go to the save point at the north and
save. Now go into the church.

---Chapel---
The pastor tells them that the chimeras came a couple months ago and
destroyed the town. The military isn't doing anything to stop them too. Ed
offered to go to Central to get the military. To get there, they need to get
to New Hiessgart which is built by Wilhelm. Ed and Al leave the church, but
quickly returns due to the overwhelming amount of chimeras outside. The pastor
offered them to stay until morning. While going to their rooms, Ed and Al find
out the girl's name is Armony. Selene is her sister and she died of an
accident, but the body couldn't be found.

The next scene is of a woman dressed in black outside of the church with the
white tiger chimera. She sends the chimera after you.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: White Tiger Chimera
***********
The tiger usually starts off the battle by jumping on to the lights on the
ceiling. Go up the the second floor and get transmute one of the benches into
a cross bow and have Al use it. If you are lucky, the White Tiger Chimera will
be stuck in the air as Al continues hitting it with the arrows for an easy
victory.

After the chimera is defeated, the woman will come in. She introduces herself
as Camilla and leaves. Ed chases after her, but couldn't catch up. Ed and Al
decides to leave to New Hiessgart now since it isn't safe to be in the church
any more. Before leaving they find a warm, glowing feather of the floor, but
soon disappears.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
IV. New Hiessgart
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
The left path leads to a chest and a save point. Take the chest then go back
and take the right to the next area.

---Central Plaza---
Ed and Al decide to head straight to the train station since they know the
professor is all right. A pink alchemist bumps into Ed and they start arguing.
Ed's State Alchemist watch drops which the alchemist notices. He leaves and
gets some of his lackeys and Blau to kill Ed and Al. Defeat Blau, the one in
blue. With Blau defeated, they get more people to fight. Defeat the pink
alchemist now. He will cower and run away after being defeated. Ed and Al
will chase after him and end up in front of the gate to the train station.
The door only opens with the crank, but the pink alchemist won't let them
leave so he takes the crank and runs away. You regain control of Ed so pick up
the Armlet of Debilitation which is located at where you defeated the Pink
Alchemist. Then make your way to the north to the next area.

---Back Alley---
Avoid or defeat the enemies and go north to the next screen.

---Train Yard---
The chest in the most northwestern part contains a Gold Plate so go grab that.
To the west is a row of train that blocks your path. Further up north you will
find a ladder which is your way of getting across. Climb up and get to the
other side. There will be another train that will block your path, so go up to
the switch that the giant arrow is pointing at and press it. A save point will
appear so save and head to the next screen.

---Downtown---
The left path is closed, so take the right one. Go all the way north and the
pink alchemist will be on the roof. Transmute the car and go up the stairs. At
the top of the stairs go north a little and make a rockblocker to get up. Ed
and Al will lose track of the pink alchemist. Al suggest going down so go west
and jump off the roof. Move into the open space and you will see someone
there. Ed hits the guy in the head thinking it is the pink alchemist, but it
isn't. Ed and Al starts arguing and try to get away without fighting, but
fails. They apologize, but Rot doesn't accept it so you will have to fight
him. After defeating Rot, you will get a key. Go backwards and climb up the
ladder. Go to the gate and open it with the key. On the map it shows a ladder
(its a brown square) nearby. Jump off the roof until you get to the floor.
Head south and there will be a door with the switch next to it. Press the
switch to open the door and you will see the pink alchemist run away. Head
into the west exit to follow him.

---Drawbridge---
Go all the way south and walk up the stairs to get a Lightning Element. Jump
off the east side, on the other side of the fence. There is a chest containing
a Gold Bangle within the area so get it. Find some boxes you can climb up and
onto the roof. Jump toward the east and onto the roof. Jump off that roof and
be on the other side of the fence. Go toward the dead end on the south to find
the pink alchemist. He isn't willing to hand over the crank so you have to
fight him. He is like a regular alchemist enemy, so defeat him. He will run
away and you will get the crank. Now go all the way back to Central Plaza.

---Central Plaza---
Go to the door where it requires the crank to open, and Al will use the crank
to open the door and continue.

---Station Plaza---
Armony is yelling at Rot, Gelb, and Blau for not teaching her alchemy. They
say they never made a promise so Armony wants her money back. Now they pretend
they don't even know about the money. Armony decides to learn alchemy from
someone else now. Then Ed and Al walk into the crowd and Gelb throws Armony at
him. Ed catches her and Al picks up the flower. Rot, Gelb, and Blau recognize
Ed as a State Alchemist, so they can't let him leave. They summon their
lackeys to kill Ed and Al.

You have to fight a couple of alchemist, but before defeating them all,
transmute all the things into a cannon, crossbow, and a sucky thing because
you have to fight the Alchemy Brothers next. Also, adding a Wind Element to a
dagger will make things easier too. After doing all those things, defeat the
alchemists.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Rot, Blau, Gelb and Living Armor
***********
Get Al to use either a machine gun or crossbow then go activate a sucky thing.
The sucky thing will suck all the enemies into a certain area and Al will
shoot them. Attack them yourself too to hasten the battle. If they aren't
defeated yet, repeat the process over until they are.

Rot and drops a Ripped Loincloth. Blau drops an Alchemy Guide. Gelb drops a
Lucky Bag. You can only get two of the items, but when you fight them again
you can get the one you didn't get.

They Alchemy Brothers will run away. Armony goes up to Ed and Al and says that
they are very cool and want to learn alchemy from them. Before answer, Ed is
still waiting for the apology for when she fell on him. She does apologize,
but they need to get to Central so they can't. Well, they can't since Armony
tells them that the trains aren't running because there was a train accident.
Armony invites them to her house to stay and teach her alchemy.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
V. New Hiessgart Castle
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Ed and Al are surprised that she lives in a castle. She leaves to get her dad,
Wilhelm. Ed and Al are shocked and Ed wants to leave, but was too late. Armony
tells the professor that she is going to learn alchemy from Ed, but he gets
angry and won't let her. He sends her to her room and tells Ed and Al to
never teach her alchemy which Ed agrees. He then tells them that Armony is his
biological daughter. He also finds out about Ed's automail and that there is
nobody inside Al's armor. He says that he won't tell Izumi because he has no
interest in their personal business. The professor offers them to stay and
introduces Ed and Al to Greta, his assistance, and Margot, his secretary.
Margot takes them to their room. In the room, Ed says that she looks like
someone familiar and Al says that it isn't their first time meeting each
other. Margot responds by saying that she gets that all the time and leaves.
Ed goes to sleep.

Then it switches scenes to the professor talking to Greta about how they could
use Ed and Al to contribute to the experiment. The professor doesn't want to
talk about it outside of the lab so they go back in.

When Ed and Al wakes up, the professor ask them for a favor. They have to
gather etherflower. They can be located at where Armony fell on Ed.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
VI. Reminesse Gorge
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
---Cave (North)---
Armony catches up to Ed and Al. She is following them because she wants to
learn alchemy from them. Ed refuses, but allows her to follow and learn
from watching. Head to the area where Armony fell on Ed.

---Mountain Path(North)---
Armony will start talking about how her dad use to teach her alchemy all the
time. Then she got a fever and after she recovered, he stopped teaching her.
Now continue to the area where Armony fell on Ed.

---Mountain Path(South)---
Ed, Al, and Armony looked around the area, but couldn't find any etherflower.
It was picked clean because it is a good catalyst and it is in high demand.
They have no idea where else to find it, so Armony decides to ask the Alchemy
Brothers.

Area cleared. You will now be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
VII. New Hiessgart
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
As you enter the town you will see the Alchemy Brothers. They get scared and
run away. Now you have to chase them. Go north to Central Plaza.

---Central Plaza---
The Alchemy Brothers split up and escapes. Al sees on running toward the
train yard so go there.

---Trainyard---
Go north a little and you will notice a yellow dot on your map. That is where
Gelb is so go there. Ed ask Gelb where to find some etherflower, but he don't
know. Ed thinks he is lying so he threatens him. Gelb keeps saying that he
don't know and that Blau might know where it is and that he is at Drawbridge.
Now go to the Drawbridge.

---Drawbridge---
The walk around until you see the yellow dot on the map. Go up the first two
flights of stairs on the south side and go to the yellow dot. Blau only
speaks in ... so Armony translates for him. Blau is acting tough and says he
don't know where the etherflower is. Ed threatens him and then tells you
that Rot might know and he is at Station Plaza.

---Station Plaza---
You have to fight the Alchemy Brothers again so set up the area with
crossbows, machine guns, cannons, and sucky things then go up to Rot. They
ask Rot and he says he don't know. Then Gelb and Blau come in. Five Living
Armor falls from the sky.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Rot, Gelb, Blau, and five Living Armor
***********
Use the same strategy as last time. It will be less effective because there
are more Living Armor to take the hits. Keep getting Al to use the weapons
and attack Rot, Gelb, and Blau with a Wind Element dagger.

Note: The last time you fought them, you only got two of the items. Defeat
the person you didn't get the item from first and get the item now.

The Alchemy Brothers finally admit their defeat. They tell Ed and Al that
the flower can be found in Old Hiessgart.

It will switch scenes to New Hiessgart Castle. The professor just returned
from talking to Nemda. They are giving him battle chimeras to make him stay
quiet about their project. Then Greta says that all the chimeras made are
junk. The professors response is that they are just prototype. Then Greta
says that it would be better if they had the original wing to work with,
but the professor says it isn't in this world anymore. Then they go back
into the lab. Margot will appear and say to herself that the colonel will
receive a long report.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
VIII. Hiessgart
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
---Central Plaza---
They arrive at Hiessgart, but have no specific location to search. Armony
suggests searching near the lake. Now go to Lakeside (South).

---Lower Suburbs---
Before going to Lakeside (South) make a stop at the professor's house. They
will start talking and Armony will start remembering some things which makes
her sad. She covers it up and continues moving on.

---Lakeside (South)---
The flower is on the west side so search near there. When you find it, the
three will start cheering and then a chimera will eat the etherflower. Ed
goes berserk and gets Al to tackle the chimera. You have to tackle it once.
Get to know its path and stand in it. When it gets near, have Al tackle it.
Ed thinks it will be knocked out for days, but it gets up and runs away.
Go to Central Plaza and chase it.

---Central Plaza---
The chimera is hiding in the southwest area. Once you find it, it will start
running around. You have to tackle it four times now. Once you do that, it
will spit out the etherflower. It is useless because it has been half
digested.

They go to the river at Lakeside (North). Ed and Al are upset because they
couldn't get an etherflower which will hold up the professor's research.
Armony shows them the ether flower she got. It is small, but it is better
than nothing. She will give them to Ed only if they teach her alchemy. Ed
agrees and teaches her alchemy.

After her lessons, they will be back in the church. They decide to go back
home and Armony starts to feel dizzy and collapse. Then Ed and Al notices
the wings on her back. They are shocked and worry about her and takes her
back home.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
IX. New Hiessgart Castle
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
---Courtyard---
The castle is infested with chimeras. Ed and Al wants to go save the
professor and Armony tells them that he is in his lab, the Alchemyworks.
To the east is the stairs up to the circular platform. The path north is
broken in the middle, but keep going and then jump up to the next circular
platform. There are some chests, but at this point in the game, most of
those items can be obtained from drops by the enemy. The way to Alchemyworks
in to the east of that.

---Garden---
Go northeast and defeat the enemies, then get the Loincloth in the chest. Then
go back and make your way through the cage area with the leaves on it. After
exiting the cage area, go northeast to the next area.

---Alchemyworks---
Go north into the laboratory.

---Laboratory---
There is a save point in the area, so save. Climb up the ladder and jump to
the place next to the chest. On the north, east, and south are also chests. To
the northeast is a chest with the Combo Guide (You can only get this in a New
Game +). After getting all the chests, go north down the stairs.

---Lab B1---
Keep going down the path until you get to a passage with many incubators with
chimeras in it. Ed and Al will be shocked at all the chimeras. The chimeras
will then break out of it and block your way to the next room. Get pass them
and then go north to the next room

---Lab B2 (Center)---
Keep moving down the path until you get to the area with a hole in it. There
will also be symbols in front of each door. They change to purple after you
have cleared the room it is in front of. In the hole is a save point and a
chest. Save and then go in any of the three doors.

---Lab B2 (West)---
There is a platform and a switch. Go on the platform first. The cannon will
only have six cannon balls in it and you can't reload them yourself. While the
platform is moving, you will notice that on some walls are giant circular
symbols. Below it are crystals. You have to destroy the crystals with your
cannon. If you don't get them all, press the switch and then get back on the
platform. After destroying all four there will be a sound, telling you that
the area is cleared. Go back to the center room.

---Lab B2 (North)---
Wall all the way north. Before destroying it, transmute a bunch of weapons so
you will be ready for the chimeras, then destroy the crystal. Defeat the
chimeras and leave the room.

---Lab B2 (South)---
This is the same as the north side except there is less chimeras. Destroy the
crystal, defeat the chimeras and leave.

---Lab B2 (Center)---
Jump into the hole and onto the giant transmutation circle. You will go down
the elevator and into the professor's lab. Go north and you will find the
professor injured. He tells you that he was the one to create the chimeras and
it was all for Armony. Then there will be a rumble. The professor will tell
you to go up and help Armony and he will catch up later. You will go back up
the elevator and be in the laboratory.

---Laboratory---
Save and then go into the garden.

---Alchemyworks---
Before going into the garden, get a Wind Element boomerang. It will help
later.

---Alchemyworks Garden---
A giant chimera breaks a wall and walks in. Al sees Nemda next to it and he
came to save the people from the chimeras and to test its strength. The
chimera goes berserk and walks towards Armony. Ed sees her in trouble and goes
help her.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Behemoth Chimera
***********
Ed suggest transmuting something and feeding it. I had a hard time doing this,
so I found a lamp post and transmuted it into a cannon. I kept shooting it and
reloading until it is defeated.

Armony complains that Ed and Al were too slow in rescuing her. The solder
tells Nemda that Ed and Al saved Armony, but Nemda is only worried about his
chimera. He tries to get Ed and Al arrested. Ed becomes furious and leaves.
Genz appears and says he will stop Ed. This time both of Genz's arms are
metal.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Genz
***********
Here is where the boomerang comes in handy. Let Al take the hits and heal
when neccessary. When Genz is attacking, throw the boomerang at him. If he
isn't attacking, he will block the attacks and it will be useless.

Even after being defeated twice, he still claims he is the strongest. Then
he leaves. Nemda becomes even more angry and calls all his soldiers in to
arrest Ed and Al. Ed suggests fighting them all, but then Mustang and
Armstrong enters. Instead of saving Ed, his suggestion to Nemda is to take
Ed and Al into custody and then court martial them. Ed is arrested and as he
is being dragged away, he threatens to get back at Mustang.

Armony goes and talk to her dad. The professor finds out that she has been
practicing alchemy and that Ed was teaching her. Armony grows her wings again
and Greta walks in. The professor stands in front of her to cover her up. He
tells her not to get any closer and it has nothing to do with her. Greta
leaves and then the professor gets Armony away. Greta returns to the area
and finds a feather on the floor. She suspects that Armony has the original
wings.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
X. Hiessgart Fortress
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Margot is walking down the street. A car goes pass her and Mustang walks out.
He offers her a ride and she accepts. Mustang starts laughing for a while.
Margot is actually Hawkeye. She reads her report to Mustang. It says that
the professor is creating unsanctioned chimeras for Nemda. Also Nemda has
been drafting people without authorization. Greta's actions are suspicious,
but she haven't given herself away yet. She is the one who taught the
professor to make the chimeras and is involved with the project. Mustang
suspects Greta is just an alias so he gets Hawkeye to get more information.
Then he reveals his plan on why he got Ed and Al arrested. They are being
used as decoys so it would be easier for him to move around while they are
trying to escape.

---Holding Cells---
Ed figures out Mustang's plan on using them as a decoy, but he goes with it.
He gets Al to break down the door. There is a save point near the bed and a
chest. Make your way north into a room. The guards will find you and they
set off the alarms. Keep moving until you are out of the cells.

It will switch scenes to Nemda's office. Greta tells him that they can easily
get the Philosopher's Catalyst and it can be used to make more powerful
chimeras. Greta tells him that she needs Armony to make it and that the
professor has been hiding it for a long time. Nemda orders the arrest of the
professor and Armony.

---Fortress Compound (South)---
All the searchlights will turn on so you have to avoid getting caught. If you
do you will be shot at. Go north to the first search light tower. Go east to
the second one and then south. The exit is too heavily guarded so you can't go
out that way. Head east toward the third tower and then south down the stairs.
To the right of it is a Frenzy Potion. Go back north and keep moving until you
get to the next area.

---Fortress Compound (North)---
Ed plans on going into the main building because his watch has been taken when
they were arrested. East of the entrance is a ladder so climb it. Go across to
the other end and get off. Make a left U-turn and go all the way to the
southwest corner of the map. Go up the ladder and run across the platform. Go
east up the stairs and then south. Ed and Al start talking and then they hide
when some guards come. On of the soldiers say that unit 1-5 are to remain and
search for the escapees and the rest are called out to arrest the professor
and Armony. Ed will make a sound and will be discovered. Many guards come and
you will have to defeat them all. There is a chest containing the Ultra Combo
Guide under a tower. After defeating them all go into the building.

---Fortress 1F---
Make your way through the rooms until you get to a room where the center is a
circle. Behind the desk is a Full Metal Bangle. Get that and continue moving
until you find the stairs. It should be west of the entrance on the other side
of the bars.

---Fortress 2F (West)---
Go toward to east side of the map since the exit is there. There are a couple
of chests, but as I said before, they can be obtained from drops.

---Fortress 2F Corridor---
Nothing here. Go east to get to the next area.

---Fortress 2F (East)---
Walk through the hall until you see the first flight of stairs to the west. Go
down the stairs and keep going west. The stairs to the next room is on the
west side.

---Fortress 3F (East)---
Go east into one of the rooms. Then go all the way south and then all the way
west to the next area.

---Fortress 3F Corridor---
Nothing here. Go west to get to the next area.

---Fortress 3F (West)---
There is a save point to the right of the entrance. Keep moving through the
area. The exit to the next area is north of the save point on the other side
of bars.

---Fortress 3F Corridor---
Nothing here. Go east to get to the next area.

---Fortress 3F (East)---
Go east and then through the small room to get to the stairs.

---Fortress 4F (East)---
Keep going west toward the door.

---Fortress 4F Corridor---
Nothing here. Go west to get to the next area.

---Fortress 4F (West)---
Go all the way to the west side and then turn south. If you make a U-turn,
and walk through the hall to the end, there will be a chest with a Frenzy
Potion. After taking the potion, go backwards and head east to the next area.

---Fortress 4F Corridor---
Nothing here. Go east to get to the next area.

---Fortress 4F (East)---
There are two north paths. One on the left and one on the right. The left path
leads to a dead end so take the right one. Then head east to fight some
enemies then south into Nemda's office. Ed and Al will search for the watch.
Al finds the watch and returns it to Ed. Ed's plan of escape is to go to the
roof and find a way out from there. Before going to the roof, behind the desk
is a Full Metal Plate. After getting that, go up the stairs, save, and exit to
the roof.

---Fortress Rooftop---
A bird chimera flies across the screen and then toward Ed and Al.

***********
BOSS: Bird Chimera
***********
Go find something and transmute it into a crossbow and get Al to use it. It
will shoot homing arrows so it will follow the Bird Chimera. If Al runs out
of arrow, reload and let him use the crossbow again.

Nemda and his men comes in and find out that you have defeated the chimera.
Nemda becomes furious. He tries to get one of the soldiers to shoot Ed, but
the soldier wouldn't shoot so he takes the gun himself. Ed runs and takes a
flag and Al goes and get some poles. Ed transmute the items into a hang glider
and flies away. Ed flies over the church and lands there.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
XI. Church
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Armony is glad that Ed and Al are safe. They ask why she is at the church and
she says the professor kicked her out of the house. Ed tells her that they
need to rescue the professor because he is going to be arrested and so will
she. Armony wants to go too, but Ed won't let her because of the danger so
she doesn't. Then she tells them the gates to the town has been blockaded
because of the chimera from before. The pastor suggests taking the
underground waterway which will lead to the castle. He Ed and Al to the
entrance and they go in.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
XII. Underground Waterway
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
---Waterway A---
Make your way to the east part of the area because that is where the exit to
the next area is.

It will show a scene in New Hiessgart. The outlaws are talking to Camilla.
She provokes them so they will fight.

---Waterway B---
Go to the pathway A-5 to get the Fullmetal Ring. To get back up, go into the
orange light and water will start filling the room. Just fend off the enemies
while you wait for it to be high enough, to get out. Then go east to take
pathway A-6 to get three chests and then go backwards to take pathway A-7.

---Waterway C---
Go north and then jump over the fence and keep going north to pick up a board
(all the boards are yellow dots on the map). Then go backwards and start
heading east to find another board. Keep going east and then up the ramp.
There will be a board there, but don't get it yet. Then walk across the beams
to the other side. There is a place in the northeast area where you can go
down. There is a chest with the Fullmetal Earrings. Climb back up the ladder
and go west. There will be another place to go down. Take the board and go
back up. Go back to where the beams are. Jump toward to board to get it and
you will be on the bottom floor. Go to the middle row and walk west up the
stairs. There will be one crab in front of you, and then another will appear
behind. Defeat them and continue north to a save point. To the east of the
save point is a giant arrow so go to it and press O. Ed uses all the boards
that were collected to make a bridge. Walk across and to the northeast is a
chest with a Growth Seed. Then go to the next screen.

---Waterway D---
Go down through the water to get to the other side and head north. There will
be a fork to the north and east. Go east first and you will have to fight the
Sea Serpent Chimera. Use a cannon to defeat it easily. After that, go back
and take the north path now. Defeat the armors and take the chests. One of
them contains the Double Edge Armor (thanks to steve06 for the info). Head
back to the east path and then north to the next area.

---Aqueduct---
Ed and Al will walk in and have to fight the Sea Serpent Chimera for real now.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Sea Serpent Chimera
***********
One way is to use a cannon and keep reloading. If you run out of Reloaders,
the enemies will drop it after defeating them. You can also run up the the
chimera and attack it yourself.

Ed will see an exit ahead so go north. Before going to the ladder, there is a
chest to the southeast of the room. It contains the Double Edge Bangle.

When you get to the ladder, Al will sense someone nearby. Ed calls that
person out and it is Armony. She followed them because she wants to ask
the professor something. The pastor comes in too because he followed Armony.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+
XIII. New Hiessgart Castle
+-+-+-+-+-+-+
Ed, Al, and Armony walks in through the front door into the castle.

---Castle Foyer---
When they get in, the see the professor. Al tells him that the military is
going to arrest him and tells him to leave. Ed wants to ask the professor a
couple of questions. The professor doesn't want Armony to hear it so he sends
her to her room. He then takes them to another room.

---Dining Hall---
First Ed tells the professor what he knows which is that Armony is not his
real daughter. Then Al asks what he is researching on and the professor tells
them that it is the wings on Armony's back which is the Philosopher's
Catalyst. It is close to being perfect, but it is only a prototype. The
professor then tells them what happened the night they left with Izumi. He
completed the prototype and Selene was in the lab as his assistance. They
object being transmuted was incompatible with the wings so it rebounded to
Selene. She started to deform so the professor used the wings to stop the
rebound. It worked, but then she mutated into something else and that's how
Armony was born. Armony is on the other side of the door and hears everything
and becomes depressed and walks away. The professor tells Ed and Al that
Armony is sustained by the power of the wings and if the power is directed to
somewhere else, her body will suffer. That is why he didn't want her to learn
alchemy.

Outside the town is Nemda, the soldiers, and the chimeras. Nemda is shouting
something while the chimeras break down the door. They go in and invade the
place.

Back in the castle, Al tells the professor to take Armony and run away. Ed
and Al goes outside to slow down the enemies.

---Castle Square---
There is a Double Edge Earring in the southwestern area. Defeat all the
enemies then go to the south exit.

It will show Armony writing a letter to Ed and Al. She leaves an etherflower
with the letter and Greta walks in. She takes Armony and leaves. Then the
professor and the pastor walk in to look for her. The professor figures
that Greta had gotten Nemda to attack the town and taken Armony away. He finds
the letter and the etherflower on the desk. He decides to go look for Armony
on his own.

---Castle Courtyard---
After defeating most of the enemies, more will appear. Do this again and more
will appear. Ed and Al continues fighting and then Mustang comes in and saves
them. Then Armstrong and Hawkeye come in too. Hawkeye tells Ed and Al that
Greta has kidnapped Armony and they need to save her. They will go back into
the Castle Square.

---Castle Square---
There is a save point at the north and the door is next to it.

---Castle Foyer---
As Ed and Al enter to look for Armony, they hear a laughing sound. Genz drop
down and say he will kill Ed now. This time Genz literally is Full Metal.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Genz
***********
This is one hard battle since you can only do one damage to him no matter
what. He makes fireballs that follow you so avoid those. Also once in a while
he falls to the ground. When he is down run around like crazy since he will
have the metal things attack you from the ground. I don't really know what to
do except attack him when you find an opening.

AFter being defeated for the third time, he still claims to be the strongest.
Al hears a ticking sound and then Ed hears it too. It is the sound of a time
bomb. They run away and Genz laugh like crazy. The ticking then stops and
Ed and Al returns. Apparently, Genz ran out of gas and the timer stopped.

There is a save point on the landing after the first flight of stairs. Go up
the second flight of stairs to the west and go into the door.

---Center Corridor---
Take the door on the west side to go to the next area.

---West Hall 1---
There is a chest here and a door to Guest Room, which also contains a chest.
Go back to Center Corridor and then to the east side into the door.

----East Hall 1---
Go north then make a left turn to enter to the next area.

---Guest Chambers---
There is a chest here so take that and go into the other door to the next
area.

---Guest Bedrooms---
A chest and then exit to the next area.

---East Hall 1---
Take the stairs up to the next area.

---Dining Hall---
There is an exit to the west and the north. Take the west exit to the West
Hall to get a couple of chests, then return and take the north exit.

---Inner Corridor---
Go west to get into Armony's Room to obtain the Double Edge Ring. The door on
the east is to the Master Bedroom to get an item in the chest. After getting
those, go north to continue.

---Great Hall---
There is a save point on the landing. Take the left and right stairs up to get
a chest. Then go down and at the bottom of the stairs on one of the side is a
chest. After getting those, go north to the next area.

---Tower Garden---
Go north to Tower Floor 1 to get some chests then back into the garden. Take
the southeast door to enter the tower.

---Tower 1F and 2F---
There is only one path to take so keep moving. There is one room where there
are spikes falling down, but it is easy to avoid them. Keep moving until you
get into Tower 2F.

---Tower 2F---
In this area you will have two doors. It doesn't matter which on you take
since they both lead to the same place at the end. If you want to get the
chests, in the Inner Corridor you can come back down from Tower 3F. Go through
until you get to Tower 3F.

---Tower 3F---
There is a save point as soon as you enter. The floor is filled with color
panels and a square with something that crushes down on it in the center of
the room. If the panels move down and you fall into the hole, you go all the
way back to the second floor. Before the crushing thing goes down, a color
appears. Whatever color it is, the panels of that color will fall. To the east
and west are stones with a color on them. Go to the color that appears on the
square in the middle. The stone will go down and as it goes back up, jump on
it. Move to the giant button where the arrow is pointing at and push the
button in. Do this to all four colors. Once that is done, the stairs will
appear to the next room in the north.

---Tower 3F Spiral and Outer Spiral---
In the 3F Spiral, just go up the stairs into the next room. In Outer Spiral,
there will be spiked balls rolling down so avoid that while going up.

---Tower 4F---
This is the same thing as Tower 2F except, you can't go back to this area.
There will be two doors. Take either one of them. Then after leaving the
Inner Corridor, there will be three doors this time. Take any one of them.
Keep going through them until you get to the place with only one door.

---Tower 4F Spiral Stairs---
Go up the stairs to the next floor.

---Tower 5F Hub---
When you enter the room, there is a block near the center of the room with an
orange transmutation circle on it. It only moves up when Ed is standing on it.
Each floor will have another block that moves horizontally. Those lead to the
chamber which contains items. They are either Reloaders, healing items, or
cap that increase your stats temporarily. Keep going up until you get to the
save point. Save and then walk on to the block that isn't moving. It will take
you to the other side to the Castle Keep.

---Castle Keep---
The professor and Greta will be talking. After a while, she gets her chimeras
to attack him. Then Ed and Al run in. They talk with Greta and then she turns
to Camilla. She gets the three chimeras to attack Ed and Al.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Behemoth, Bird, and Sea Serpent Chimera
***********
Go find something and transmute it into a cannon. Defeat the Behemoth and
Bird chimera first with the cannon since those two are the easiest. The Sea
Serpent Chimera would be last, but it will be hard since the corpses of the
other chimeras are blocking the way. A Wind Element boomerang is good since
it is long ranged and the chimera moves a lot.

Ed and Al will be tired after defeating the three chimeras. Then Camilla
tells them that the chimeras feed on the flesh of alchemist and serve as
catalysts to refine the Philosopher's Catalyst. They needed a mass sacrifice
of alchemist to make a perfect Philosopher's Catalyst so that is why a lot
of alchemist are summoned to the town. All the other prototypes were useless
until she found Armony which has the original. Camilla starts transmuting
Armony, but the professor gets up and throws an etherflower at her which
causes the transmutation to go wrong. The wings disappear and Camilla's face
mutates. Camilla fuses all the chimeras together with Armony.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Fused Chimera and Camilla
***********
The Fused Chimera has very little Hp and low defense. A couple hits will
defeat it, but Camilla can revive it. Camilla teleports a lot, so she will be
hard to hit. The easiest way to defeat her is to find something and transmute
it into a crossbow. It will be hard since the Fused Chimera will block the
item unless it moves away. Once Al gets on the crossbow it is all over.

Camilla jumps onto the edge of the castle and then falls down. The professor
gets Armony and said that he could treat her in his lab. He then tells Ed and
Al to gather all the feathers since the energy could be used to save her.

Go and collect all the feathers. They are on the floor and giant arrows
pointing at them. The Grindstone can also be picked up here, but it won't
appear all the time. After collecting them all, Ed doesn't feel anything from
the feathers. They realize what the professor is going to do and rush to the
lab.

You have completed the area and now you will be able to save.

---Courtyard---
Ed and Al rush to the lab. Mustang, Armstrong, and Hawkeye are at the
entrance, but will not let them enter because the professor won't allow
them to. Ed and Al really wants to go in so they will fight Mustang and
Armstrong.

***********
BOSS FIGHT: Armstrong and Mustang
***********
First, you need is to carry a lot of healing items or you will not be able to
defeat them. Second, don't heal Al. If he dies, resurrect him with your alchemy.
Defeating Armstrong first will get you a Demon Fist and defeating Mustang first
will get you a Glass Samurai. You will have to pick those items up. Defeating
Armstrong first is easier. Get a tank and keep shooting at him since he doesn't
get knocked down easily. Reload as neccessary. You can do the same thing with
Mustang, but he will be knocked down with one shot from the tank.

You don't have to defeat them if you don't want to. Lose the battle and watch
the ending. Defeating them will lead to the same ending.

After the credits roll, it will show Fin. Press Start and it will ask if you
want to save. Save and when you load the file, you will be in a New Game +.
