In this walkthrough I am going to be trying to help you through this game as best I can. On this game you basically have to race people and win so you can enter in Piston cup races; these are taken place on tracks with only left turns. If you have seen the movie you will have a better understanding of this game. There are also mini-games in which you don�t race but do little jobs and games, for example tractor tipping with Mater. This game is surprisingly very difficult. Some people might look at and think �this looks way too easy� but it isn�t, The other racers are very competitive.

The controls of this game are very simple.

Got to story mode on main menu select it then select full size story mode. A loading screen with controls foe the game will appear.

Cut-scene

This is the first race on story mode. It is only a short 3 lap track so it shouldn�t be too difficult for you. All you have to do is come at least 3rd place. This shouldn�t be too difficult as it is the first race on the game.  Be careful once you get off-road as you haven�t unlocked power slide yet. If you feel that your not doing very well you can always restart the race at any time by going on the pause screen and going to the restart event option. Once you have finished the race press X and then click on continue story, or if you want to you can race again by going on Retry level. It now gives you the opportunity to save the game, It asks you if you want to save every time you complete a race or mini-game. If I was you I�d save it after every task you complete.

You have now unlocked two new events:

FREE-RHOME

Free-Rhome is where you can just drive around and relax. You can choose weather to do another challenge or just drive around. You can do this in anytime after you have completed a challenge. This is a good time to practice, if I was you I�d spend about 5 � 10 minutes just driving around getting use to the cars acceleration, speed, braking, cornering and the environment such as the different types of road. 

After you have done that go to Ramone�s house of body art, it is just to the left of Mack. It is a little white dot on the mini-map. There are three of these and one green dot. A white dot means that there is a new challenge here and a green dot is a race event. Ramone�s shop is opposite the leaning tower of tires. Its not hard to find. You�ll see that there is a little silver lightning bolt. This gives you some bonus points.

All you have to do on this is change your paint of your car. There are only three paint jobs at the moment but when you get some more points you can buy some from the main menu. When you have chosen one press the X button.

Go left to the petrol station and press square at the green flag. A British car wants to race you.

Cut-scene 
Two Mexican cars come and they want to race you now.
This is also a pretty easy race. The two British cars aren�t very fast but they are good round the turns. Just get in front as fast as you can. Once you are in front just think about what you are doing and you�ll be fine. Try not to go off the track else a timer comes up, if you don�t get back on the track by the time it runs out you�ll be put back on the track. This can be very bad if your opponents are close behind because they can get past you.
When you have done this race you would have unlocked two more challenges.


If you now turn right and got to sally at the motel. You�ll know where it is because there is a lot of huge cone around there. Press square and enter the Sally�s sunshine circuit Race.

Sally�s Sunshine circuit

On this race you have to race as sally against lightning�s two biggest fans Mia and Tia. You race them to see who gets to go with a drive with lightning. This is only a short track. I can get round it in about 55 seconds. When you win there will be a cut-scene. You will have the drive with sally a bit later in the game. You have now unlocked a new challenge. I�d go do this one straight away because it�s a lesson on how to power slide which is very useful. 

From the motel you need to turn right but don�t got to fast because you need to turn off soon. Keep going and turn left at the first tarmac road, then at the end turn left then just after that turn right down a dirt road keep following this road and you�ll come to a green floating flag press square on it.

Doc�s lesson: Powerslide

This I where you learn to Powerslide, its quite simple. All you have to do is press R1 while you are turning round the corner. It will tell you when to press R1. see how fast you can get round this track.
Now you have to race Doc round the back roads. You have to come 1st place in this race though. Try to use the power slide because it makes it easier to go round the bends. You can also go faster round the bends if you use the powerslide.

Palm mile speedway

This is your first piston cup race. It isn�t a very hard one. All you have to do is try and get in front as fast as you can and watch out for the backmarkers because they can really slow you down. I�ve seen some people playing this game trying to go on the inside lane all the way through the corners, this isn�t a good idea as you will go flying into the outside wall. The way I get round the corners is driving pretty close to the outside wall and quickly turning into the corner. This way you can maintain a lot of your speed and you can also get a lot of speed out the corners if you do this. It works very well fir me so it should work well for you as well. After about 6 or 7 laps you�ll need to pit in for gas, tires and to wash your eyes. You have to do this your self it isn�t automatic. You have to press buttons really fast to fill your tank and things like that. But you never know what you are going to have to do, it always changes. I think everyone pits in at the same time as you because if you are in the lead and you get a good pit time you stay in the lead, but if you don�t get a good time you might find he is very close to you or worse he could have got in front of you. All you have to do is think about what you are doing then you should be fine.

Tractor tippinn

You do tractor tippin with Mator. There are 8 levels on this challenge. At the beginning it is quite easy but it gets more and more difficult as you go along. Don�t go too slow in this mini-game though because you have a time limit. On level 6 or 7 you have to move some trailers into ditches, Be careful where you do this because some tractors you have to get are in the ditches and you have to go down and get them so just be careful on which trailers you push down the ditches. But you have to very careful of the spotlights and Frank. On the left hand side of your HUD (Head Up Display) There is a picture of frank and a bar underneath it. If you get seen by a spotlight this bar goes up a little bit, this means that frank knows that there is someone there and he�ll start looking for you, make sure you don�t let the bar go to the top else frank will see you an you will have to do the level again. Don�t get seen by frank though else you will get game over straight away and you�ll have to start the level over again. This mini-game can be fun and funny but can get very stressful, when I first went on the game I couldn�t do level 8 at all so I left it for a while and did some other challenges and went back to it. I did it first time then. If you are stuck I suggest you do this as it will make you relax and calm down a bit, Then after a while go back to it and you should be able to do it easily.     

I think your ok by your self now, all you need to do is get all of the challenges done and before you know it you�ll be a master at this game. Its not a very long game so it shouldn�t take you very long to complete it.
