IDXD0004 Mana ........................................................ IDXD0101 +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Important! Read this before using any section of this FAQ | IDXA0000 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ It's always important in my FAQ to read first how to use them, before using them. But in no game it was more important than in Atelier Iris 2. Why's that? Well, Alterlier Iris 2 has two main characters who have to support each other in each their own part of the game. Both are alchemists, so you can guess that alchemy is the most important part of the game. There are many items that are just helpful. Like healing stuff, but there are also key items that have to be created by alchemy. Recipes are everywhere, and that makes that there are very much things in AI2 that can be done in random order. When I played this game the first time, I got myself stuck many times unable to find required recipes. Therefore at the start of each section I'll note which items you need and which are recommended. Sometimes I'll note the IDX code behind it. Searching for those codes (Ctrl-F in Windows and Linux, Apple-F in MacOS) may get you to the sections were the recipes are found or some of the required ingredients for the items or the required Mana (see Mana section). The next important part is this. The game has many subdungeons that only connect places with each other. Taking these dungeons on will get you new locations pending on which direction you exit them. Therefore some locations can be on the worldmap before you gotta go there. For each location I'll assume that you didn't unlock the location yet and put the connection dungeon in the FAQ. Each time it's possible that skip such a dungeon I'll say "Skip when", so you know you can safely skip the dungeon if you already got the required location. Okay, now let's get into some general stuff. Also important but less important than the other stuff. (Especially when you are familiar with my FAQ writing style). My motto is that Walkthroughs suck and take away all challenge of a game. Therefore I try to write my walkthroughs that way that you can it when you are hopelessly stuck, and put it aside when you have some clues again. Therefore I gave all episodes and missions a IDX code. Search for those codes (Ctrl-F in Windows, Apple-F in MacOS, considering you use either MicroSoft Internet Explorer, or Netscape Communicator, or Apple Safari or Mozilla Firefox) and you'll get in the right section. Each city/dungeon is divided in areas. Each time you get into a new area I start a like with a "-". When multiple actions have to be taken in a room I'll start them all with a "=". Something else important. The game sees "North" as the upper right corner of the screen. When I say north I'll also use that corner. When I say north when I talk about the worldmap, I mean the top of the screen. Lastly, at the start of each mission and boss fight I note my party members and the levels they had in my game. Are these recommendations? Well, AI2 is a pretty hard game, so yeah, maybe you can take them as recommendations. But I am somebody who doesn't believe in levelling up. I recommend people who never played an RPG before to be higher than I was (if possible). Experienced game players could ignore that I noted these levels, or take them as comparing material. It's up to you what you do with that information. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Characters | IDXB0000 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Felt - Felt is the main hero. He's pretty strong and can create items from elements. He can also upgrade weapons of people. Viese - Viese is the second main character. She stays in Eden at first in order to back up Felt by making pacts with Mana creatures and making items for him. Noin - A rebel against "the empire". She's pretty quick. Not ultra strong but can be really helpful with some nice attacks and healing moves. Especially at the start of the game or on non-boss enemies those healing moves can save you a lot of items :) Gray - A dragon slayer. Pretty strong, but also pretty slow. However some of his moves can really be helpful if you want to beat the game. Fee - A female warrior for Altena Church. She's the fastest party member, but also extremely weak. Use her with care. Poe - A fairy and womanizer. He has some fine moves and is quick, but terribly weak. I never use him unless I really have to. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Walkthrough | IDXC0000 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Here I'll lead you through the game. I've made captions for all episodes and missions. Have fun. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Prologue - Part 1 | IDXCP100 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noin ? | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Although the game doesn't call her by name yet, you start the game with Noin. She has to fight two battles. In the first battle you can only attack, so winning that is easy. The second battle the skills will be introduced. Use Force Blast (top move) and you'll win that fight. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Prologue - Part 2 | IDXCP200 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Main Character: Viese | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Eden Temple | IDXCP201 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Kreutz will tell Viese that she's a full-fledged alchemist now and tell her what it means. - After that go south and talk to the mana blocking the south way. (Lutanus) She'll give you an "Alchemy 101", which contains the recipes for Heal Herb and Fear Bottle. Exit south - The game will explain a thing or two about the world of Eden and send you automaticly to the town of Noir where the first Episode will start. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Episode 1 - The Beginning | IDXC0100 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Main Character: Felt & Viese | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noir (1.1) | IDXC0101 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ - Go north, exit north - The door straight in front of you leads to your workshop. Enter it. - Go upstairs - Get Pure Water from the sink and go back downstairs - Leave the workshop - Exit south - Go south, exit south - You're on the worldmap. Go to Belkyde Gate +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Belkhyde Gate | IDXC0102 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 1 | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Nothing much to do here. The game will introduce you to Felt with whom you'll be spending 90% of the game. After the introduction leave this place and head for Marmel forest. (There are some wood element crystals. Just remember to extract such crystals whenever you find them, since this will be the only time I'll tell ya about it). +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Marmel Forest | IDXC0103 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 1 | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Upon starting this place you'll get a tutorial. You can view it if you wish. - Follow the road. You'll come past the Azure Azoth. Examine it. Felt will try to pull it out but fail. After that keep following the way north and exit north. - Go north and you'll find the Dour's Great Tree. Here you'll make a pact with your first Mana, Dour, the Wood Mana. After you made the pact go south and try to exit south Now the disaster that starts the story begins. Exit south - Go south and you'll find the Azure Azoth again. It wall call out for Felt. Examine it and pull it out. Now continue the way south end exit south to leave Marmel Forest. Go to Eden Temple. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Eden Temple | IDXC0104 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 1 | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ - Enter the temple - Talk to Kreutz. (You'll automaticly go out of the temple) - Go back to the world map and go to Belkhyde Gate. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Belkhyde Gate (1.2) | IDXC0105 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 1 | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ You'll see the gate opening. After a lot of talk you'll end up in Viese's Workshop. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noir (1.2) | IDXC0101 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ - You're about to create your first item now. The game will have a tutorial ready for you to explain how it works. You have to create a heal herb. For that you need Pure Water (you can get some from the sink upstairs) and Magi Grass (you start the game with that item). After you created that item leave the workshop. Viese will automaticly head for Belkhyde Gate in order to say her goodbyes to Felt. Felt will leave for Belkhyde and Viese will stay behind. That concludes the first episode. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Episode 2 - Belkhyde, The Other World | IDXC0200 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Main Character: Felt | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Desert | IDXC0201 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Before doing anything I recommend you to mana synthesize a full supply of heal herbs, since from now on you'll meet monsters, so you're gonna need something to heal yourself with, and Heal Herbs is all you got for now. - You'll see a normal chest and a silver chest. You cannot yet open the silver one, so don't even try. You'll have to come back for that one much later in the game. Head south and you'll be attacked by the first monster. After the battle you'll get a tutorial on how battles work. Exit south - You'll get the tutorial on Mana Synthesizes (In case you didn't yet find out how that works). = Go south = Drop off east = Go south = At the end go west = At the end you may go north for some small plants you can extract element energy from. South is the way to go. = Felt may complain about the heath again (It surely annoyed me) Just continue going south. = Around the corner west = At the end you can go north for some rocks you can extract elements from South is the way to go. = Exit south. You're on the world map. Go to the Oasis. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Oasis | IDXC0202 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 2 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Immediatly upon your arrival here, Felt will pass out. Noin will come to his aid. Try to leave the tent and Noin will stop you. After some talk she'll join you, and the camp tutorial will be explained (very important, I guess those who played Breath Of Fire III and IV will be used to this system) :) Leave the tent. You'll be at the Oasis again. Exit south to leave the Oasis and head for Tatalia Village. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Tatalia Village (2.1) | IDXC0203 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 3 | Noin 3 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ There are serveral people you can talk to. One of them is a Female Cat Merchant (Mitsue). She's a member of the "Zwital Merchant Association". Now she's only a merchant, but she will get more important later in the game. The tent far to the north is of the village chief. After your chat with the chief leave the village and head for the Desert Fork. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Desert Fork (On the way to Desert Ruins) <--> | IDXC0204 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 3 | Noin 3 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ - = Go north = When the road splits in multiple paths, take the north path = exit north - Head for the Desert Ruins +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Desert Ruins | IDXC0205 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 3 | Noin 3 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ - Enter the building - = Go north = Jump to the west = Go west = Around the corner north = Keep going north = At the end jump to the west = Exit west - Grab what you can here and exit east - = Go east = Drop off east = Drop off east again = First way north = There's a camplace here. Use it if you need to. = Exit north - Go north and meet you first "boss" _________ | Boss 1 \ +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Imperial Footman x2, Imperial Soldier x1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Difficulty: Medium | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 3 | Noin 4 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Preparations: Have as many Heal Herbs as possible | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Not an "official" boss, but for the good of this FAQ I'll name it that | | way. | | The game will explain some things about special moves. Right now the | | moves you got suck. Normal attacks will do best. Noin's Heal Breeze can | | come in handy and hand heal herbs can also do a great deal. As long as | | you keep an eye on your HP you should do fine. | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ After the fight go north. The way is blocked by a huge door, but the mysterious girl you saw before in Eden will appear again. After the talk open the chest for the Recipe of Craft. For now there's nothing else out here. Go south, exit south - = Camp if you need = Go south = You'll encounter magic creatures. Listen to the explanation on how to beat those. (After the battle you got another tutorial if you like). = Keep going south = Head west at the end = Jump onto the higher area west = Head south = At the end around the corner east = Drop off east = Go south = Exit south - Exit south Now go back to Tantalia Village +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Tatalia Village (2.2) | IDXC0206 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 5 | Noin 5 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Visit the Chief again (or mayor if you like). You'll hear some troublesome news about Noin's boss. Felt will offer his help to Noin in this matter. Leave Tantalia. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Desert Fork (On the way to Regenbogen) <--> | IDXC0207 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 5 | Noin 5 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ This is one of those things in Atelier Iris 2 that makes my life as a Walkthrough-writer pretty hard. You have been here before since yuou need to to reach the Desert Ruins before. This is a crossing dungeon and the game is loaded with those. The way you exit those determines which location you exit the dungeon. You can often skip those if the destination you're going to is already on the map (because you took a wrong turn before). All these dungeons are marked with "<-->" This time you have to go there no matter if Regenbogen is on your map or not In the future these dungeons can become optional if the location you're going it is already on the map. Upon arrival you'll automaticly make camp. Talk to Noin first and then use the diary and the game will switch back to Eden where you get to play with Viese. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Episode 3 - Share Ring | IDXC0300 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Main Character: Viese | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noir (3.1) | IDXC0301 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ First thing you'll notice is that Viese doesn't share her items with Felt. But since Viese won't get into any battles during your sections with her in Eden, don't worry on it, and don't stress yourself with getting her some, because you won't need them now. - Leave the workshop. - You'll be in a talk with a Nymph. During this talk the game will introduce Poe. Dispite his size undoubtly the biggest womanizer I've ever met. (And that includes the womanizers I've met in real life, or perhaps I didn't have to deal with them so much since I am a guy). And after Poe leaves the scene (for now) on the most embarrassing way, you'll meet a mysterious girl. After she left go south and exit south - Go south and exit south to leave Noir. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Eden Temple (3.1) | IDXC0302 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Enter the Temple and talk to Kreuz. He'll tell you the library is the door up there. When you try to enter the library the door appears to be locked. Talk to Kreuz and he'll tell you Lutanus is in charge of the library and that she is shopping in Noir. Leave the Temple and go back to Noir. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noir (3.2) | IDXC0303 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Lutanus can be found in Yach's shopt (first house on the east when you enter Noir). When you try to enter Lutanus will come out. She'll give you a pass that makes you able to enter the library. Leave Noir and go back to Eden Temple +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Eden Temple (3.2) | IDXC0304 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Now you can enter the library, so do so. The bookshelf right in face of the door already got the book you're looking for. Now leave Eden Temple and head back for your workshop in Noir. On your way out you'll meet Poe again. Well Viese will just ignore him. Just head back to Noir. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noir (3.3) | IDXC0305 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Go to your Workshop. Viese will automaticly start on her work to decipher the code in her ring. After she's done deciphering the ring your next target is set. Leave Noir and go to the Great Cave +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Great Cave | IDXC0306 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Upon entering Kreuz will come and grant you permission to take this cave on. If he doesn't appear you didn't do the previous sections of this episode. Take those on first and come back here. - = Head North = Keep going north = Exit north - = Head north = First way west = Open the chest to receive a Alchemic Econ = Go back east = Keep going east = You'll mee the mysterious girl again. Go back to Noir. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Noir (3.4) | IDXC0306 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Viese 1 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Go back to the workshop. Once there Zuvelk will help you to activate the Share Ring. This will now mean that Viese and Felt now have the same inventory. This will mean that Viese can create items for Felt now and that Felt can find her recipes. Cut short from now on the two of them will have to help each other in order to proceed in the game. Viese will now also discover that Felt did find her a recipe. For Craft. Go to the cauldron and create one. (If you don't have any Nues which you need as ingredient, go to Marmel forest to get one). +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Episode 4 - Infiltrating Riesevelt | IDXC0400 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Main Character: Felt | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Before I start on this episode. It's important to know that you can now switch. Basically every episode belong to only Felt or only Viese. But whenever you find any new recipes in Belkyde you can switch to Viese so that she can create the item that's tied to that recipe. In Viese's episodes it can often happen that she needs stuff only Felt can get. This is also one of those things that make my life an a walktrough writer hard, but challenging. Since recipes for some key items can easily be missed I gotta point you to the three Alchemy sections. All recipe's I found are noted there with the IDX codes of the sections where you can find them. +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Desert Fork (On the way to Regenbogen) <--> | IDXC0401 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 5 | Noin 5 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ You start at camp. So it's time to uphold that tradition. The word "Regenbogen", It means "Rainbows" in Dutch. In single form, so when we're only talking about one Rainbow, the word will be "Regenboog", I really wonder if the creators of this game did this on purpose with a special meaning or if it's just a coincidence. Well, enough bullshit. Let's get on with this place. - Go to the guard and talk to him. Noin will use her female charm to get you past (I guess being a pretty girl DOES have some advantages). Exit east - Go east, keep going east and exit east - You still gotta go east here, exit east You'll be on the worldmap. From here you can enter Riesefelt. This city is a map on it's own of which all parts of the city can be reached via the worldmap. Start by going to the back alley +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Back Alley | IDXC0403 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 5 | Noin 5 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ From here enter the pub and talk to the bartender. As a payment in advance he'll give you the Blacksmit 101, which contains the recipe for the Flay Hammer. That is an item you're gonna need later. Well, you can already make 10 Wonder Waters simply by making it out from element power. Once you created them go back to the workshop. Yach will come and take the Wonder Grows you created. Okay, now for the main thing here. Go to the cauldron and create at least 5 cotton cloths (you may want to create 3 extra ones, as there are three party members who can learn the ability block by equipping it). Oh yeah, since this in an Alchemy Item and not a mana item you can only cook this up by mixing the ingredients. You cannot create them by using elements. Okay it's synthesizing time. You got to create a Glow Lamp. For that you need a Eite Liqueur. It's very well possible you missed the recipe for that item. If so, switch to Felt and get it from Max's Camp. I didn't have the other ingredient either, but I replaced that with an ore and that works fine. If you want you can also create a Flame. As a bomb not very powerful, but you need it later. (You'll get a little chat with Kreuz) Now leave the workshop and go to the dark house. Viese will automaticly use the glow lamp. Search this house. There's a map of Belkhyde here. Take it. Now leave and go back to the workshop. The recipe for that item can be bought from a sister in Altena Church. (See IDXC0702) Have Viese to synthesize these items for you you before you start on this dungeon. Any camp spot will do to switch to Viese. Once you got the Mega-Flame and the Yugdore water let's start on this dungeon. Alright, this dungeon has two targets. She'll leave after the talk but you gotta deal with her again soon before you leave here. Just cross the bridge and exit on the other side. - Exit east - You'll be at the park. Talk to the man here (his name is Duvine). If you thought Poe is obsessed with women then you haven't spoken with this guy. We gotta arrange a meeting with the most beautiful girl. Doing that will get you a recipe you really need to complete the game. Guess the stylist we just met will have to help us. Exit west - Talk to Theresa who is hanging around here. She'll turn Noin into a beautifil girl, but she needs two items. A moon stone and goat milk. The chance is great that you already got those two items, if not, Goat Milk can be bought at the local store here in Grand. If you don't have Moon Stone then the quickest way to get it, is to switch to Viese and buy it Melona's store. If you got those two items, go to Theresa and give the items to her, so she can get to work. (She scares me). (Noin will temporarily leave the party, but don't worry, she'll be back before you leave Grand). - You'll be in the park, Talk to Duvine. A girl will come... WOAH! IS THAT NOIN???? Duvine will be impressed and give you the book of Hermes, which contains the recipe for the Key Of Hermes. After that Noin will leave a final impressing (it's really kickin') and leave. Leave the park - Noin will be in her old dressup again, and rejoin the party. Alright go to the campspot and switch to Viese. She should make the Key of Hermes. From now on you can open silver chests with those keys and since it's a mana item you can use elements to make more. Switch back to Felt. (If you don't have the ingredients for the key. The recipe for the silver crowbar is in a chest on the North Grand Plains. As for the other ingredients water (for making a crowbar) can be acquired at the sink upstairs in the workshop, and the rest can be bought at Yach's shop). If you want you can open the chest in the back of the park for the recipe for Zuvelk Core. Okay, now before leaving Grand, visit the magic shop (beside the shop with the big milk bottle). If somebody did complete the game before with the same memory card as you do, it's possible that there are other possibilities (all starting with "Legendary"). It's not wise to take those on right now, I don't think you're up for it right now :) You gotta win 5 fights. Losing won't let the game be over, but you gotta win to continue in the story. These fights have just normal enemies and should not offer any serious problems. The 4th and the the 5th round contain pretty hard ones though. Break attacks are their weak spots. The 4th one may not even have a chance to attack that way. The 5th, can still offer resistance that way, and has the awesome Terra Flame move which kills all party members. If you can break it, there's no danger, but bringing some nectars can be handy (it can however sometimes be better to let the dead be for what they are an focus on break attacks in stead). It can happen often that he could move again before Noin | | gets a chance to do anything, so that's why refuels are a must have. For | | a long time things can be kept in complete control though dispite these | | things, however halfaway this fight he'll summon an ally. That is a timed | | move which will last for 5 turns. These allies are pain. They are strong | | just like the main unit. Since it's a timed move every interval a new | | ally will come. So in the end there'll be a total of 5 allies. Getting | | rid of these allies is strongly recommended. In order to attack them all | | (Including the main unit), I used Tera Flames. A dragon gem can also help | | since that's also a timed move which lasts for 5 turns. After the timer | | on the ally summoning has expired and all sidekicks are cleaned up the | | fight will continue like normal. | | | | Oh yeah, and last but not least. This guy has extremely much HP. | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ After this fight you'll find the Slaith Crown. There's nothing more here. I'll get through this in order of difficulty (or possibilty). I may give up some requirements in that case you must have done something first. Of course you can follow this FAQ exactly, but this FAQ was basically written for those who only want to check this FAQ when they got really stuck and put it aside when they found a way to continue. So that's why I do it this way. Before you start you must get the Alha Book from Max which has the recipe for Megido's key. For the rest you can ask around the palace for clues. When you leave the palace get on the part you wanna start on. (To create the Megido's key you need a gold crowbar. You can create it with the recipe of the Silver Crowbar. Mess with the ingredients to create it. I did it with these: Dem Ore, Flour, Pure Water). +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Alha Village | IDXC2103 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 28 | Viese 7 | Noin 27 | Gray 28 | Fee 27 | Poe 27 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ You'll meet Tolena. Since your Azoth is broken you cannot enter it. Tolena and the mayor will tell you what they know. Leave this place for now. Near the entrance of the village is a guy who can tell you a story of a brother and a sister. He has a clue you need to complete this quest. Also talk to Pops aka The Bomb Artist. He'll mention Mt. All they can do is kill | | unless your defenses are insanely high. They got a regeneration of 500+ | | and the worst part of the story is that there are three of them. They do | | not have much HP, and be grateful for that detail or else this fight | | even be impossible to win. Dragon Ruin is your best bet. Yes, it's better | | than Falcon Blast. Dragon Ruin does by far more damage, they regenerate | | so fast that Falcon Blast is not enough to deal with this matter. Taking | | them out one by one with extremely much damage is the best way to go. | | Two Dragon ruins will kill them. If you have a chance to use Charge | | to make your skill bar increase quicker. The Divine Guard has some | | moves that will kill you unless you boosted your character into insane | | high levels, so you will need to use some Nectars. And using some refuels | | also saves your ass. Most attacks are pathetic, though so if somebody | | suffers extreme damage or even dies you got a lot of possibilities to | | do something about it. They also do not have that insane regeneration. | | It does not really matter which one you take out first. The Guard is the | | strong one and the judge is the mage. Camp out here and make sure you're ready for the grand finale. = Go north, exit north - Now you gotta kill Palaxius. __________ | Boss 21 \ +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Palaxius | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Difficulty: Very extremely insanely ultimately hard. Close to impossible! | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Felt 34 | Viese 27 | Noin 33 | Gray 34 | Fee 33 | Poe 34 | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Preperations: - Have Water Element full | | - Bring the maximum ammount of all healing items | | - Elixirs do not have to be max, but brining at least 15 is | | Strongly recommended | | - Have the move "Dragon Ruin" (Gray) | | - If you have items that nullify sleep you got more chances | | - Have the move "Healing Light" (Noin) | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Palaxius is (as suits a final boss) the hardest boss in the game. You | | really need to give it your all to win this fight, and luck needs to be | | on your side. If luck is against you then winning this fight is | | impossible. Palaxius has no healing abilities and no auto-regeneration. | | so that makes a little advantage on your side. Alas there all advantages | | end. Palaxius is very fast. Probably faster than you are. That is already | | a terrible thing. Not to mention that his moves are strong, unless | | really been levelling up (or went out into the insane with Aion Cores) it | | is very unlikely that you survive them. Most attacks are on one personal | | and all too strong to survive (Gray and Felt might, the others, not | | really a chance. Especially Poe and Viese are far to weak to stand a | | chance. Every now and then I summons a great swords that attacks all | | characters. The damage is less, but this is the move where the luck | | factor is most in place. If you are unlucky all party members fall asleep | | In that situation a miracle has to happen if you are to survive that. | | There are items out there that nullify sleep. If you can get your hands | | on those do so. (Magic Pipe does that. See Mana - Accesory on how to | | synthesize them). Statusses like curse and paralysis can also occur. Noin | | could cast "Healing Light" to get rid of that all at once. Sometimes he | | uses a spell that decreases all statistics. Very good. Let him do it as | | much as he wants. Since Palaxius is already very strong that move will | | hardly make any difrence, and since in 80% of the cases you got to revive | | one of the hit party members from the dead, the effect doesn't last long. | | I just take it as another move in which he deals no damage, and use that | | to take advantage of the situation. It's one of the small chances you get | | so use it. For the rest, leave dead ones as soon as possible and don't be | | afraid to use healing items. In case of emergency use Elixir, and when | | get the chance, use a Dragon Ruin to do some real damage on him. Break | | attacks are not likely to help you here. Palaxius is far to fast to do | | some serious deal with Break attacks, and since every mistake you make | | will be used against you (with horrible results), you can better not take | | any chances. | +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ After this fight the game is over. The old weapon is reforged so that will disappear and the new weapon will appear. Think well before doing this as weapons can have abilities you might want to master before going on. It's not really possible for me to set out all weapons, only the weapons I could create so far and their respective skills they give. This also goes for alternate boss techniques. AND NEVER FORGET TO TELL ME WHICH FAQ OF MINE YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT! I get a lot of mails in which I must guess which FAQ it is we're talking about, and since I'm very busy as a contributor for GameFAQs, and ocasionally other sites, I have quite a lot of FAQs here. So it will help me a lot when I know which FAQ/Game it is you're talking about. :) And one last thing. Below are remarks I got a lot about my FAQs. Some are funny, and some are just plainly too stupid for words. I don't want to be an arrogant bastard or anything, but some of them tire me a lot. So here are those mails with my standard replies: M: Fix your English A: Some people say they hardly hear the diffrence between me and an English speaking fellow. Others say it sucks. Well, I honestly don't care in which category you are. English is NOT my first language. If I spoke my own language you probably couldn't read my FAQs at all. M: You suck in levelling up A: I know. I'm a real RPG player. I don't waste my time hours of levelling up. In my vision that's a sort of cheating. If I wanted to do that, I'd buy a gameshark. That works a lot faster. No offense to those who do believe in that. M: HEY IDIOT! FIX YOUR FAQ! A: Anyone who sends mail like this won't receive a reply. In fact they will be banned from ever mailing me again. I can understand you do not agree with my technique. There are as many as there are people. I can also agree you detected that I made a mistake. Well, I'm human you know. Making mistakes is part of my nature, as much as it's yours. If you detect errors in my FAQ you can tell me about it in a civil way, and I'll fix it if I agree with you. M: I took on the bosses you brant HARD on much lower levels with no problem at all. A: Good for you. M: Are you a man? A woman? How old are you? Where do you live? A: I really got that kind of mails a lot. I don't mind that you know. I was quite amused by such mails actually. Well, my name is Jeroen Broks. I'm not going to give my private adres in this FAQ or anywhere else on the internet, but you may know that I live in the Netherlands, I am a man, and I was born in 1975. So on the moment I started on this version of this FAQ I was 31 years old. M: Fsdasdadasf afsdfasd afdfsaf A: Whatever you say I don't understand it. If you mail me, please only do so in either English or Dutch or if you really need in German. (Be perpared that if you speak German to me, you might get an answer in English, tough). I don't speak any other language. M: May I translate your FAQ into another language? A: If you ask my permission, mostly no problem M: Why is Neoseeker banned from hosting your FAQs? A: That's something between me and Neoseeker. I don't find it necesary to go into detail about that. I noted it in my FAQs to make sure they will never pop up there unnoticed. So don't mail me about it cause I won't answer. I got very good reasons for it. That's all you need to know. M: You know NOTHING about this game or RPG in general? A: That I know nothing about RPG in general is something you can't say. I spend 80% of my free time in RPG (which is quite a lot, trust me), and I even develop them myself for a hobby. And about this game, trust me when I say that all games I wrote a FAQ about have been played multiple times from start to finish, and after I completed the FAQ the game is played over and over again and again, so I can upgrade the FAQ if I find something new, to make sure my FAQs offer the best you can get. All games I wrote FAQs about are games I'm very devoted to. No exceptions. If I am not sure I know the game, I won't write a FAQ on it. And so far this FAQ. I hope you have good use for it!
