1. Near the start of the race there are two levers. Hit the 2nd one and the giant shoe will open up for you to go into(i don't normally take this shortcut as I find going around it faster).
2. After you have gone round in the circle, there is a big log straight ahead. Go through the log to go straight to the giant frog.
