Unlocking different playable characters in the game requires completing the indicated task for that character and then purchasing them at the shop (to play as EVA 00 Kai, Berserk EVA 01 and Bardiel you have to hold down L1 when selecting EVA 00, EVA 01 and EVA 03).

Unlock Leliel:

Defeat in Story mode with EVA 00.

Unlock Shamshiel:

Defeat in Story mode with EVA 01.

Unlock Gaghiel:

Defeat in Story mode with EVA 02.

Unlock Israfel:

Defeat in Story mode with EVA 02.

Unlock EVA MP (Mass-Production):

Defeat in Story mode with EVA 02.

Unlock Jet Alone:
