The purpose is to get more cards. After five duels, win or lose, you can reincarnate one card. After five duels, go to the deck build screen and go through the list of cards. One will say "REINCARNATE" on the bottom of the screen. Press L3 to get 3 cards. For Mirror Wall, you get the legs of Gate Guardian.

as well, any cards 70 DC and above have a High chance for Suijin, even 3 Suijin at once, Reincarnating Suijin can get u the other 2 Piece's of Gate Gardian, to Simplify the answer, there
are some cards u can only get by reincarnation, like Suijin and Left Leg of Exodia, since they cannot show up in Graveyard Slots, I have proven this to also work with finding other cards like
Skull Knight, Mikazukinoyaiba, Tacticial Warrior, and Many other's. Reincarnation can also help u get more Copies of cards u really need. like Yamamato Dragon Scroll, Darkness Approaches, or Harpie's Pet Dragon.

The point is reincarnating high DC cards gets rarer cards in return (though ones as high as mirror wall always gve me suijin for some reason)
