You gotta go to the middle of the ring, and do it. If you can't find the middle of the ring, get out of the ring, go towards the announcers table, and at the side of the ring you will see a RAW or Smackdown logo. Look closely, and you will see a dot. Go to the dot and click square and you will get a sledgehammer. Roughly calculate the distances for the others, and you will get weapons.

Get outside and in the center of the ring as close as you can get then press square and nothing else only square and he shuld search for a weapon

NOTE: this does not work in hell in a cell matches

P.S you where probably pressing across, down or up whilst pressing square thats why you kept goin back into the ring

When you go ouside of the ring, go to the middle of the outside apron(it says it sometimes on the loading screen) and hit square and down. Thats how I use it. But you may want to double check with your game.

You have to push square by itself no directional buttons

To get a weapon go as close as you can to the letter A if your playing in the RAW areana and press square with no other buttons and that should get you a weapon hope I helped please rate.
