There is a part when you get the bonus mission to go outside and explore where you have to feed the bums. When I walk up to them and press the triangle button it does nothing I don't understand exactly what I'm supposed to do. Please help going out of my mind.

To start the mission you have to talk to bum sitting in front of voodoo motors. After you talk to him a bunch of purple markers pop up on the screen. Then you have get each bum the food that he wants in the time allowed.
Its because you need the food first.
Here is where every type of food is that you need:
Salami: Meat Market, on the counter
Chicken: Meat Market, that overlooks the window
Donut: Is at an ice cream shop thing outside the hideout.
Ice Cream: Is at the same place as the Donut.
Hotdog: A man is standing at a hotdog stand just before you pass into the gate to where the hideout is. (Also near the bum that wants ice cream).
