help with getting through the cellar

I'm trying to get through the door in the cellar using the dash sprite or flower sprite in the riddles in the dark chapter. But everytime I try to use the dash sprite the door does nothing and I can't get it to open. What do I have to do to get the door to open? Please Help!!!!!!!!

There is a level and you are simon and peter finds the key which opens the cellar im stuck on tnhe next part in the cellar tunnel with the second and third part of the riddle.

You find a royal orchiad sprite (is by the boxes when u go into the tunnel) a will-o-wisp ( by the where u found the shovel) and a flower sprite ( by that round covering where malery was) then stand on the round thing in the middle of the room and let the protection( roual orchid sprite) one go and it will lift that thing up that ur standing on. Stay standing and let ur will-o-wisp go and it should go thru the window thing and make the roots go down then use the boost (flower sprite) and break down the roots.

HELP every time I try to the roots down go down and so i can boost and smash the rocks!

If you dunno how to defeat the river troll at the 1st meet,you can't, you gotta feed him goblins(1st time it's 10,any other time,it's 5) I suggest useing the net to whak em,or use the diversion sprite while faceing towerds the lake.
