After you leave close the gates, then reopen it and enter. Walk all the way to the left. There is a staircase but it's broken jump down and on the wall theres that stuff you can climb on with the circle button. When you get to the top you have to fight a weird looking thing. The climbing area mentioned is there, I promise. Just look.
