Pick a higher ranked opponent example your 1st Dan and you picked jack-5 ranked 3rd Dan defeat him and you will be 2nd Dan.

Well, there is an easy way to get past the 1st Dan ranking, but I would not recommend using this strategy unless you are confident in your skills to win. The strategy is simple, all you have to do is fight opponents that are on a high ranking than you like 5th Dan, or a Shihan or something like that. If you fight these more skilled opponents, you have a greater chance of losing, but also a bigger chance of getting into ranked matches a lot quicker. It is how I became a Tekken Lord so quickly, but I would suggest not fighting anyone higher than the rank of Champion, because those may be too strong for you.

You need to fight higher ranks than yours. Then after a few battles, you should get a screen saying "Promotion Chance, Ranking Match". Also, after your battle, and you are ask to pick any of the 3 people to battle you against and there is no opponent rank higher than yours, pick the highest ranked opponent and challenge him.
