Question for Star Wars: Battlefront II

The Rank things, (like seargent, private, general, etc.) yea, I don't get them. I've heard of that if you get rewards you level up but I got tons of awards and I don't really see the difference. How do I find out how many rewards did I get in the whole game and how do I find out my rank? And also tell me what the difference of having higher ranks.

To find out what your rank is after you have finished a battle and it comes up with what awards you got, kills, deaths etc at the top of one of the screens there will be a section that tells you how many total kills and deaths you have, in this section it will also tell you your rank.

The ranking system goes as follows for:
Private: you need between 0 and 19 total medals and you can command one troop to follow you.

Sergant: You need between 20 and 99 medals and you are able to control 2 troops.

Captain: Between 100-299 medals and you can control 3 troops.

General: 300+ medals and you can control 4 troops.

Every time you rank up you gain the ability to control more troops with the up button. I beiive at maximum you can command 4-6 troops simultaniously.

You can control more troops as you rank up. And if you get a medal category to legendary, you always start with the award.

At the end of the battle, when it shows you're stats at the last page in the top right corner it shows you're rank-e.g. RANK:CAPTAIN. The only difference is the higher you get, the more troops you have follow you. (to do this you press up on the keypad while aiming at a soldier.'this is on ps2' on pc it's f3)to find you're score click on yuor name on the first page then the 2nd page shows battle stats which include, player points hero points kills and deaths. In the 3rd page it shows career stats. Until you reach captain, every thousand player points ranks you up. From then on I have no clue. But I think the medals have something to do with it, too. Make sure you save you're players name after every battle.
