I know this a stupid question, but someone please answer it. How do you cancel?

To cancel, it's best to practise with side kick and charge. Have kick on x short and charge on "o" short. Now run up to a enemy, and do a side kick, and as he is attacking, hold down circle and he will automaticly cancel and will charge as well. It takes getting used to

Err, sorry about my previous submission, it wasn't specific enough. The best way to practice the cancel tecnique is to have fayt, side kick and charge. Assign side kick to short "x" and charge to short "o". Now, when you are in a battle, get within the short range (it should say in the top right or top-left corner if you are in short range) then hold down x, activating side kick. As soon as fayt makes contact with the enemy, hold down circle and fayt will cancel and activate charge, then as you see the cancel sign, hold down "x" and keep swapping between them till fayt's fury runs out. ALSO READ THIS PART!!!! If an enemy has 100% fury, when you go to hit it with side kick he will guard against it, and you could end up in serious damage or K.O, so chceck their fury just before, but it is alot harder to cancel starting with charge, so stick to side kick till you feel you can try other combinations of cancel AND MAKE SURE that you have plenty of health potions or healing spells, because practicing cancel eats away at your health, so stock up as much as possible!

P.S: I'm not sure, but I think the cancelation combo multiplier goes:
125% 200% 250% 300%. Hope this helps your problem.

A great cancel bonus is Maria's Aiming Device(Long Weak) And Energy Burst(Long Strong). Energy Burst already does hight MP damage. And the Bonus from the cancel make it even better.
