Ok, here is a complete guide to what do do in the first part of Abydos. First, look round the square until you find a fat man wearing purple. Talk to him and he will ask you to find three Abydosian pearls for his wife's necklace. Here is where they are. First, jump into the well in the centre of the square. You will find yourself back at the portal god's place. Dive underwater where you will find an old key to open the gate. Then get out of the water, climb the ladder and smash the vases. The first pearl is in one of them. Then go to the locked door and use the key to unlock it. Go outside and you will find yourself back with the woman bird who first talked to you. Go to the left of her and you will find a ledge. Shimmy along it until you reach a balcony with vases on it. Smash them to find the second pearl. After you have it, shimmy all the way along the edge and you will be back with the fat man. Look at the wall to the left and you will see another ledge (this is easily missed). Shimmy along it and walk across the stone work until you rech some vases. Smash them- your last pearl is there. Make the same way back and talk to the fat man again. He will give you a door key to go upstairs, but don't go upstairs yet. Go to the museum where something will happen. After this thing has happened talk to the tallest bird in the room and he will ask you to donate an animal. To do this go out of the museum, upstairs and to a shop that sells beasts (read the signs until you find it.) Once in there, buy a small frog as they are the cheapest (you will need 70 scarabs first). Once you have the frog, go back to the museum and donate it. The bird will give you a zipline handle so you will be able to use the ziplines around the city. Then go out, find 25 scarabs, go upstairs again, go to the stone bridge on the right and use the zipline to get to the boat. Talk to the bird and he will transport you to the next town, Heloipolis, for 25 scarabs. Once there SAVE THE GAME. I hope I have hepled you and anyone else Smile
