He is only available in the Gamecube version of this game.

You can only unlock Link on the GameCube version of Soul Calibur II.

If you have a PS2 or XBox you cannot unlock him he is only available on GameCube.

To Correct Forbidden-Siren, Link does not have to be unlocked in the Gamecube version, he's just there at the begining.
