The letters are the different attack buttons (and defence). It can be confusing because you'd expect the buttons to be labeled as they are on the console but instead they are generalized for all consoles (and arcade). A is horizontal attack and B is vertical (A button and Y button on Gamecube). K is kick button and G is guard/block button.
