You have to get to the lighthouse and hit the switch. The light will start going up. You then have to run up the stairs. When you get to the top break the light. You will get a lightning bolt. This is the thunder smash. When you jump in the air and hit square you will do the spinning thundersmash.

Actually, that's just the regular Super Smash. To get the Thunder Smash you have to make it to Misbehavin'? Cause a Cave In Part 3. Just make sure you read how to use it, cause you'll need it soon afterwards.
