Question for Red Dead Revolver

I stumped on the mission with General Diego.

Any hints that can help me complete the mission?

Yeah, it took me forever to get through that mission.

There are no restart points and you have to kill wave after wave of soldiers all while dodging the cannon fire.

Eventually I gave up, went back and saved all my money for health increases and replayed the game up until that point.

You probably dont wan't to do that, so my advice to you is to follow your men around. Pick one guy and stick with him. He'll help you a little bit with the enemies.

The revolver that General Diego carries can also be of some help. It's a little less powerful and less accurate, but it loads and fires faster. I like it more for the close combat.

Finally... if you kill some enemies and they drop health pickups and you don't need them, remember where they are, and go back for them when you are low.

It took me about 2 hours to beat the mission. My best advice is to just keep at it. Use your flare (R2) and your cannons will fire where ever it lands, including on enemy soldiers.

That can be a big help. Just keep moving. You'll get much better at aiming once you've completed the level, at least I did. :o)

A good trick to beat this mission more easily is after you have killed the soldiers and your guy waves at your canons or whatever, cross over to the other side of the bridge and run up the path that goes up to the US canons until you can't get any further.

Flare up the canons in sight.

They can hit you, but will only do so very rarely. Then when the soldiers arrive to kick you out, turn back and let your rifle speak. Head shots.

Some medicine packs will drop from time to time and help you keep up with the flow.

You don't have to destroy all the canons to get to the next part where you have to protect your guys, which is pretty straight forward.

It took me a while to figure out how to beat it on very hard mode. What seems to work a lot for me is to first shoot a guy, then run up and bayonet him a few times till he's dead.

By using this method they don't run from side to side and get away from you as easy, and if you've played on very hard mode you know that it takes a lot of shots to bring down a guy. Also stay close to the bridge and keep moving.
