Just try using them alot but I'm sure they don't go that high my didnt but I suggest using them on tough enemies.

The max level on weapons is ten.You can upgrade them past that by adding special mods but it doesn't increase the level.You can equip I think two different mods at once.Sorry for the news but that is how it goes.

Ok all of the other answers are false so I'm going to tell you the truth. To get your weapon levels to 99 first you must get it to level 10 then you play the game on challenge mode and in the vendor there should be an upgrade for your maxed out weapon(s) you buy the upgrade(1-3 million bolts) then it will let you level your weapons up to 99. Have fun. Ps gaining 10 levels with the upgrade is like gaining 1 normal level.

You just keep on killing enemies over through all the levels and keep on replaying the game and it'll still have it until every wep is lvl 99

Ok maybe enemiem's answer is right but I havnt boughten the upgrADE AND I beat the game in 2 days but I got my duel forces to lv.10 and they wouldnt go any higher

On your first playthrough you should have all your first weapons.
These weapons are only able to go up to level 10. OK?
Now if you beat the last boss and finish the game, you can go into 'Challenge mode'.
Challenge mode is a harder version of the game you played first.
-In Challenge mode you have a new 'Bolt multiplyer' which multiplys the number of bolts you collect by how many enemies you kill - meaning you'll earn bolts much quicker.
-In Challenge mode you can buy 'Mega' versions of your old weapons - but only if you've upgraded them to Lv. 10.
-These Mega versions are more powerful versions of your weapons and these are the weapons that you can upgrade to Lv. 99
I suggest the 'Endzone' challenge to earn experience, bolts and upgrade your weapons.

DaGameFreak and tegan41 are wrong you need a upgrade mod for your wepon.
You get it by beating the game once and in the vendor it should say OMAGA by the wepon names.
There you go ashlyp hope you enjoy your inproved wepons.
