Question for Ratchet & Clank: Locked & Loaded

PLESE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!! IM stuck on Planet Damosel. Im tryin to save the overrun planet and get a missin part for a machine. I can see the guy iv got to get to but I can't get to him. Theres a platfom surrounded by shallow water, and I CANT jump it to get to this guy. PLESE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
