Try going to Slim Cognito's Ship Shack and upgrading your weapons. I like to use the triple torpedo. The nuke works good too.

For that part this is what you need to do: when you destroy one of the turrets a little repair droid comes out, destroy it before it reaches the turret and then take care of the other turrets doing the same thing. Be quick because eventually another repair droid will come out.

I did it like this I had all the turrents with blue smoke coming out of them then I went around fiishing them and droids don't repare the turrents untill they are completely destroyed. It worked for me so try it out it might work for you!!!! Xnedra good luck!
