kalebo III, getting past the grind rail

I'm having a problem getting past the grind rail on planet Kalebo III. THe problme is jumping the last big split in the grind rail. The first split is easy, and a simple jump is all that is needed. But the last break is too big, and whenever I jump, I don't make it. I know how to get past the cars, by switching between the 3 rails, and that I have to hit the 3 buttons to disable the blue force field (or whatever it's called) on the grind rail. The blue field is right before the big split in the grind rail that I'm having a problem jumping. HOW DO I JUMP THE BIG SPLIT IN THE GRIND RAIL? I've done it before, but I can't remember what I had to do, to get over it.

The blue force field blocks a grind rail that leads to a gold bolt, but that has nothing to to with this particular problem. Simple answer: at the very edge, right before you fall, just jump. You should pass no problem. Just keep practicing. Complete the grind rail course without a scratch and you get the "Heavy Traffic" skill point.

Keep the X button held down. For some reason Ratchet flies further.
