Where do I find the rope at in the very first world or how do I get across the river ?

Using Scree you need to make him cross the bridge once he is in the building, then go towards the waterfall, he should say something like "That tree looks like it's about to fall down", go upto the tree and press X to push it over. Jen can then walk along the river bank until she comes to the tree and walk across

I just made it across the river. Scree finds a tree that looks like it's about to fall. Stand behind the tree and press X, Scree will push the tree and it will fall across the river. Go across and bring Jen back. Found this out by accident.~smiles~
