How comes when you first get to play as the woman in her oom as I move around I can't unlock no sdoors or anything I'm well stuck anyone now how to help?

Kill the pirates that come up the ladders then eventually you can kick the ladders down you have to do this in two rooms once the pirate blows up the wall.
