You have to log-in to their site and be a member. When you get a certain level done in free play it will give you a pass word. Type it in at the onlinerankings screen and if your points were high enough you'll get a code.

I unlockedeverthing except the online codes so I just used cheats to unlock everything. You should try that. It will work fine.
