Question for Okami

I am in the moon cave, but have seem to find myself at a bit of a dilemma. I rushed off to the cave before I gathered all of the brush techniques. So I am now stuck in the cave unable to complete the head chef's request due to the inability to thaw out the blocks of ice that stand in my way. My question is this: Is there any possible way that I can somehow get out of the cave (through cheats,ect because of Waka's barrier) to obtain the other brush techniques, or do I have to suffer from my stupidy and start a new game? Help is greatly appreciated!

You have to find moegami, the fire god. He is under the elevator in the center

Don't worry, I was in the same dilema.you obtain the ability to thaw ice out while you're in the Moon CaveSmile

First thing you don't need to get through the ice blocks (thats your way out) and like jes said above you need to get moegami, you don't need the other brush techniques you will find those later, to get under the elevator you slice the operator with power slash brush technique that makes the operator bring you down do this repeatedly till you reach the entrance. :P

You are suppose to stay in the cave. Keep going and you will eventually get the Phoenix ability.
