You need quite a bit of praise - in order to get those transformers you need and S-rating for praise at the end of the game. However, here's a tip: if you can't seem to get them no matter how hard you try, then keep going through Okami again and again and again. Once you have no use for praise because your Health, Ink, Purse and Astral Pouch can't be upgraded, the praise just goes up and up. So you'll start the game with 1000 and end it with 1000 too. (By the way, I'm talking about the special restarts you get with every weapon save the most powerful of each. Otherwise you start with praise of 0 and have to do it all over again)
