I know I have to use the rope gun to get up to the trees since the lift was destroyed, but now... (brace yourself, it's a stupid question...) where do I find the post that the rope gun hooks on to? I looked everywhere, and help would be much appreciated.

You go 2 where the lift was look up and the circle thing will focus and then soot
Stand on the cut off trre trunk where the lift was broken. Look up at the platform on the tre in front of you. It should be there.

(For comment above) To use the rope gun you first need to aquire it from Tor's father after you battle the juppie monster the secound time. To actually USE the rope gun you have to find one of the hooks for it to latch onto then hit R2.
Im at that spot and I don't know werte to get the rope gun or the cloak of heros
