Drag Help

Ok I currently have a Cobalt SS for my drag car...I know you're all going to say get a faster car. I'm not exactly going for the fastest time, just trying to reach/beat my target time which is currently 11.82 seconds. I range continuously from 12.28-12.5 seconds all the time. I am not getting anywhere near my target time. I have not touched any suspension settings except for made my ride lower. I increased cam timing about 6 points to the right, and increased start and end boost all the way. 1st gear is all the way tall, second is highest minus 1, third is highest minus 2, fourth is highest minus 10, fifth is highest minus 12, sixth is highest minus 16, and final drive is middle plus 2. I have 2 tanks of NOS. I'm not sure when to use them. If I save just one for fourth then I only get to use one tank. If I use one in second and one in like 5th, my time doesnt really change at all. Any suggestions?

There's the issue. When it comes to using your nitrous shot, use it on a higher gear. This is because nitrous makes your car faster by more combustion taking place with the pistons in the cylinders, but it doesn't make any fire come out of the exhaust so why EA does IDK.
So don't use nitrous in a low gear because in a low gear the car has most of it's acceleration or should rather so if you increase this thrust of acceleration you're going to lost grip because of too much power. So what you should do is wait until your 3rd or 4th gear. This is because by that time the acceleration force has reduced and will help with accelerating in the 5th and 6th gear since by those final two gears (if your car has it) the acceleration force is getting very close to virtually none and only enough to get to a constant speed. So nitrous for gear 3 or 4.
Your suspension however...If you've got a widebody kit, you don't need to lower it too much and that generally is usually just about how much you need to do.
If you however want to get that slight edge in more acceleration and ultimate top speed try some positive caster as this means the wheels will point in the direction of travel more, but it does mean steering response is slower.

Thats the car I started out with for drag, the cobalt ss and I had everything lvl 2 and 3 but wasn't getting anywhere so I had a look at the cars for sale at the car lot and saw 2 that looked good and had a good speed and bhp. They were the nissan skyline gt-r (r34) and the chevrolet corvette z06. So I went to a race day and kept doing the races I found the easiest (for me it was drag) and kept winning and dominating it then leaving and returning to it and dominating it again until I had about 300k and went to the car lot and bought the skyline. I had everything at lvl 3 and it had about 750bhp. I went out a dominated some more race days to advance my career and found a lvl 4 forced induction, a lvl 4 engine and a lvl 4 drivetrain and I now can do the 1/4mile strip in 8.52sec and the 1/2mile strip in 12.34sec.now my skyline is a 999bhp monster
Hope I helped
Happy gaming ;-)
