Is there any way that I can use a custom baller to play in versus mode? like against another human player?

just press the square button in the players divisions selection menu and go all the way down until you find custom players

You do what mjolimpia said to do, but first you have to beat the story mode and all of the tournements. Then it will be unlocked under Custom.

When you go to select the divisions pick "custom" it should have your baller
