It's not really around all three stumps. It's somewhere in front of the stump farthest to the right. You will see a tiny white star on the ground. That is the game's feature saying that you can do something with that object. Pick up that thing. It's a piece of paper that leads you to various places. When it asks you to go to "the great tree that protects konoha (the hidden leaf village), go to the hidden leaf forest. Run towards the screen. There should be a piece of paper there too. There is also another piece of paper at the hot springs near the door closest to the bridge. Then there is a key buried at the academy that you have to dig up and it is the key that opens konahomaru's box. hope that helped. You need anything else regarding this game, you just ask me. I might know what you need.

P.s. I can't remember if you go to the hidden leaf forest or the hot springs first but I do know that the academy is the last place you go for konahomaru and it is where the key to the box is buried. Later...
