1st get a weak weapon that takes a few hits to kill the vespiod.

Note: It's very rare to kill it because it takes a few times to kill it.

IMPORTANT don't kill the vespiods in area 2, you won't get anything from them also don't think you will always get the items for armor, you may get monster fluid (this can be sold for $500).

Go to level 5 quest unseen peril and let the basarios (rock wyvern) and it will poison them and kill them instantly without destroying them.

Just get a hunters knife, upgrade it to a hydra bite and poison those little buggers.

I'd suggest using a poison weapon, like a hydra bite or so.when poisoned, they will drop to the ground soon enough and you can step up for the carve.

Get a weak weapon with a poison element and let it sap it's life

Upgrading to a poison weapon takes forever, so just get a cheap bowgun that can use Poison S Lv1. Get some Normal Lv1 (Infinite) and buy 12 shots of Poison S Lv1 in the village, or combine Toadstools and Huskberries. Then, do the Present for the Armourer mission and go to Area 2. Wait for the Vespoid to appear and the hit with your poison ammo. It will die and fall, where you can carve it. When you have used all 12 shots, kill the Kelbis with normal ammo. This may be expensive, but it's still cheaper and easier than uprading to a hydra bite. Alternatively, if you just want Vespoid bits, do the 4 star Attack of the Giant Bugs mission with any weapon and collect the rewards of Vespoid Wings and Shells.
