Is Raidenovich actually Raiden? because he was a soldier, but the timescale doesn't fit....

This metal gear solid is in the 60's so think about it, can be a clone Raiden.

He is not raiden! and he is not related to raiden!

He is called ivan raidenovich Raikov and he was put in the game most likely because none liked raiden and besides, raidens real name was jack!

I never said Raiden was in his 60s, but if it is Raiden in mgs3 then he would be around 60-70 (whatever) in Metal Gear Solid 2 and i think he could related in some way, like a clone or something

rikov is related to raiden ridain is a family decendant from him but his parent decided to name him jack so he wouldnt know his past but when campbell named him raiden he still didn't know because campbell knew his whole past!!!

Ok here is the explanation.
Ivan Raidenovich Raikov isn't Raiden because Raiden would be at least 63 in MGS2. People have said that Raikov is Raiden's father. This is not true, because if you kill Raikov, there is no Time Paradox. However, if Raikov is in his 20's then he could have a son, he becomes 20, then he gets a son who is Raiden and they get abolished by Solidus Snake. But no-one really know.

Raiden was a soldier, but he never worked for the Soviets. Solidus Snake is also known as George Seers. He was President of the USA before he lost to President Johnson. So if Seers was the President, he would not be likely to put his Godson in the Soviet Union.

The answer to your question: Ivan Raidenkovich Raikov is NOT Raiden.
