How long do the tranquilizers (M9) last. Also if you shoot em more times..

Hey I see you wanted to know how long the M9 tranqs work.

Well if you shoot them in the heart, the head, or the nads, they will go down right away and stay down for at least a half hour, literally. Anywhere else, probably only ten minutes.

Also, it depends on the difficulty. If you were are hard mode, the don't stay asleep for long, be aware and alert.

Actually, it doesn't matter where you hit them, because they will stay asleep for the same amount of time. Where you shoot them only affects how long it takes for the chemicals to take affect. In easy and very easy, they stay asleep for about 10 minutes. In normal, they stay asleep for about 7 minutes. In hard and extreme, they stay asleep for about 5 minutes. Even though Otacon says the effect lasts for hours, this is the bitter reality of it.

Pay attention to revolver ocelot's answer, it's the right one! Whoever said they stay asleep for 30 mintutes?? That's not true, the only difference is the effect like ocelot said. By the Way with the M9 you could also discompose the guards' radios!

It depends what difficulty the game is on. Shoot them in the heart or the head and they fall asleep instantly though I'm not sure how long they saty asleep for.
