i have killed the german shooting at the parachutist by tossing a grenade.just lucky i think. hard to repeat.

I have just saved this guy. Been trying to do it for years! You rush on ahead shooting the soldiers in front of you and eventually, after 3,453,211 attempts you turn to see him still struggling in his parachute after killing immediate danger.
Actually, extremely satisfying so I am off for a beer/
