With the homing ataacks, you immediately start slashing at the target nearest to you, no matter what direction you're facing when you attack.
This is merely a theory, but I think that worn-down town you're thinking of could be the first location of Spargus...or it could be a wasted town...I'm not entirely sure...no one is...
It does homing attacks you know, think of heat seeking missiles. The abandoned town I think you are talking about with all the leapers, that town was destoried by the storms, it wasn't protected enough.
Homing attacks target and hit enmys when you attack in combos and the wasteland town is spargas.
Homing attacks make you stronger when you're dark jak, if you don't have it you can notice that (when you use dark bomb) the purple eco will just send through the ground, if you DO have the homing attacks you'll notice that eco will go everywhere and will shoot enemies in the air to kill them
Homing attacks makes all you combo and dark powers hit an enemy without missing.
The town was destroyed by a storm and maraduers at the same time. If you look at some of the buildings, you will see that a rock or a car hit it. Or it is Rock Village from Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy. If it is Rock Village, then you saw Samos' Hut in Jak II and that place was Sandover Village.
