and how do i get her/him intrested into farming also?

Both Lumina's son and daughter look the same. If you went to Mr. Pots, you still have to talk to one of the Harvest Sprites (Flak, I reckon) and select whether you want a daughter or a son. Which gender you get is what you choose. I haven't tried this out so I can't verify it, but all sons have a default interest and skill in something, for Lumina's son it's Music. So if your child shows interest and has skills in Music, then your child is a son.

To get your child interested in farming, show your child seeds, tools like the Watering Can, Hoe etc. Answer positively to every Farming related questions and negatively to others. Bring your child to Vesta's farm often (I suggest daily for best results) and befriend Celia, Marlin and Vesta.

You can tell by your child's and wife's clothes. If your child is a girl it will have orange clothes. No matter witch wife you choose, all girl's clothes are orange. And also if you have a girl, your wifes clothes will change. If you have a boy, they will NOT have orange clothes, only girls. Also, if you have a boy, your wife will have the same clothes as before. So your wifes clothes change depending on what gender your child is. For example:Muffy's typical outfit is a red, v-cut dress with matching red shoes, a white sweater, and a brown headband. If you choose to have a daughter instead, Muffy has a blue conservative dress, shoes, headband, and sweater.Nami's daughter-outfit changes her from blue over-shirt, shoes, and an orange t-shirt to a white over-shirt, brown shoes, and a green t-shirt. Celia's outfit changes from a green skirt, black shirt, and tan apron to a red skirt, white shirt, and ivory apron. Lumina's outfit changes from an olive shirt/skirt and orange neck scarf to a blue skirt, white shirt, and pink neck scarf.
Hope this helps!
