I am locked into the library by the book shelves closing behind me. I do not know how to burn the books that float across the room continuously. If someone could let me know it would be very helpful.

Start walking towards the round clerk desk but to your right you will see a brick wall with a hole if you look up slightly. You can climb onto the small bookshelf next to it and crawl through the hole that way.
