Question for .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth

How do I meet the doppleganger to get the king crown item or watever it's called and does anyone know if balmung or orca is going to be the next boss in the second vol.

Just read a doppelganger walkthrough to find the first part out and if you must know even if it might be considered a spoiler...no, you don't fight them but for a little bit seems like you will. Smile

It's the "Own King" item... The previous answer is OBVIOUSLY... Wrong. I have it, I know. You do need to have seen the message in the forums about it, and be in a Field type area... Preffered LV. 50 stage and you with really good equipment and allies... Other than that: explor night fields and be ready with a Heavy sword to keep him from getting to you. Oh yeah, he constantly heals and uses the same weapon as you. I think you have to have beaten Azure Flame Kite and saved after those d@mned long credits that are fun to watch anyway ^_-. You will not do much damage to him/it but keep pounding to keep up with his healing and equally fast movement. Sorry I can't be of more help...

Xer, I know I'm NOT an expert but that's mean. I didn't really know how to answer the first part of the question so I left that to some one else but I've beat vol.2 so I answered the second part as best I could without spoiling everything. Sorry if I upset you or something.

Sorry to say, but the first two answers are false. (Dont hit me, you two.)
To fight your Doppelganger, you need to kill all the monsters in the area (it works in caves and shrines too, not just fields) and then STAND STILL for about 10 minutes. Like, turn the tv off (but not the PS2) and go eat or something. When you come back or turn the TV on, there should be this weird alarm music playing and some red arrows pointing to where it it. My friend told me that no matter what level you are, it'll be 8 levels up from you. So if you're level 50, it'll be level 58, making it EXTREMLY difficult to beat.

I don'tt think you get the King Crown from beating the Doppelganger. You get those from King Chims.

I'm not sure, but my friend has Vol. 2 and says that Azure Sky Balmung and Azure Sea Orca join Sirius in a party. I think you see them in some cutscenes.
