What is the easiest/quickest way of killing hollister?

I had the same problem. He would shoot me and id die fast and I would barely do anything to him. You need to go back to dodge and do the side missions w/ pat denton guy and do some wanted posters.

After that go to empire and do some of the missions there. Every mission you do you get money and stats and then you buy all the stuff at the shopkeepers and keep getting you're stats up.

When you go back to fight hollister you do way more damage and kill him in 10 or less shots w/ the rifle then he puts dynamite in him so when you get to him just run away don't shoot because it don't do anything and when it's over you get ned's rifle which is a beast of a gun.

Hollister says "know your enemy boy". I took that as a hint that he has a weakness. I think he doesn't like water. Because after running around in circles and getting killed, I went into the water behing the boat that you rode in on by Fights at Dawn and Soapy. Crouch behind the boat. Hollister will not come out into the water and will only peak his head out from the other end of the boat. Everytime he peeks around the corner shoot him. He will cuss and jump back behind the boat. I had to shoot him like 20 times and it took a few minutes and patience but he never shot me or came after me or even through any dynamite.

I always did all the availible side missions before continuing the story, it makes life a lot easier. When battling Hollister I always use my first two shotgun shots then quickly switched to my rifle and quickdraw. Also, mine for gold and use your money to upgrade your weapons. This is true for all the major bosses less Magruder, get used to using your shotgun. It is very powerful at close range.
