Question for Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

I cant seem to recruit gang members on the riot mission. I think you push up on the direction pad, but I' not having any luck. please help

You may need to get more respect otherwise i can't think of anything. The most gang members you can recruit at full respect is 8.

You might need more respect or I think you push it down but I dont remember and take over the other gang member places to get respect.

How do you recruit members on ps3 version of the game? I cant get anything to work

I think I know your problem. On some missions you can not get your gang to join you. Yeah I know stinks doesn't it. When you recruit them you could push up or down. Whichever you prefer.

Actually to recruit gang members you hold R1 and then press up when it's aimed at a fellow gang member. You can start doing this after you take over all gangs territory in los santos
