When you first fight Scar and you're supposed to lose, does anybody know..

I don't think it's possible to beat scar I looked up alot of walkthrough and they just told me to let him win.

It is possible to win. I beat him multiple times already. I just beat him this morning too. Go in with full rage. When the battle begins go behind you and jump on the box just left of the entrance. Wait there until scar blows it up. There should be a chest. Open it and you will get the fast hold gloves (when equipped you won't lose your weapons). Then go and transmute some shuriken (the throwing stars). Have Al throw you in the air and do the rage (put an alchemy vial on before the rage hits the ground though). When the rage is finished, scar should be stunned so put the white loincloth on Al so he doesn't hit him. Get lined up with scar and throw your shuriken. Take the white loincloth off and have Al throw you up on the box that is in the back left corner (exact opposite of the entrance). Wait until Scar blows it up and then transmute the pencow sitting behind the box (Pencow is the strongest weapon in the game, besides the level 2 flash bombs you get at level 99, it will always hurt over 100 points). Get lined up so the pencow will hit Scar multiple times. By now he should be at least half way in health. Now comes the tricky part. Get your sword out (or your hand, they both work). Keep running from him until he charges at you with his hand. He's vunerable for a few seconds whatch out though because once you hit him a few times he counters you so try and counter him. Keep up the attack until you win. Good Luck

You can win, and you get sunglasses. The sunglasses automates accu-strikes.
You can also beat armstrong and you get the bond of brotherhood(A,B)
Elixer(C,D) or nothing(F). It's hard but worth it, it's possibile because I did it.
The bond of brotherhood raises the rage gauge faster.

It is possible to beat him and one of the simplest and easiest ways is to use the item that makes you automatically counter attacks. As long as that item is equipped and you are guarding, every time he attacks you will jump around him and hit him.The only thing you must worry about using this method is when scar uses a ranged attack, they are easy to dodge but just remember to be ready to jump outta the way.

Hello, was reminiscing old games and fights you're supposed to lose. I remember how hard it was to beat scar! Had this item that summoned a cow with a paint brush. But was so low and the cow clutched it! It turns out that you get nothing, just the regular cutscene you get when you lose. Spent a good hour or more trying to best scar and gained nothing
